Do not recommend this place at all!! horrible experience and not nice hosts!! . The owners are always whispering (chismoseando) among themselves amd with the cleaners about guests. it is very very rude!!! they did it many times on front of me. And the cleaner is always in the kitchen and she deliberately stands on front of the stove so makes you wait. in otherwords the house staff come first foe the use of amenities and then guests can use the kitchen. the hot water in the shower is only one temperature and it is so boiling hot you can burn!!! it is also very dark and there was never any soap or paper towel to dry your hands so what is a guest paying for???? they do not care about guests safety or comfort . very dodgy. they just want your money even advertising the rooms of this hostel on airbnb as well which is not legal and is deceivinh. The dorms are extremely uncomfortably. its impossible not to hit your head with the metal frame (again not safe) very very squashy with no rooms to put your bags and absolutely freezing!! and all you are given is one very small thin blanket. go to chapinero o candelaria for way better service and facilities, much much cheaper, better value and actual professional friendly hoats. i recommend CedronS Hostel, the croc and many more just not this one. Oh should mention there is no common room and the owners actually rent out many of the rooms on a long term basis to staff and workers nearby. basically it is not a hostel for travellers looking to relax, sleep well and socialise. the hosts falsely advertise to different markets to try and get as much cash as possible.. like I said very sketchy and bad bad vibes here and looks like some other people similar experience. DO...
Read morePhenomenal!! Best hostel I've stayed so far anywhere in the world. The owner Juan is incredibly welcoming, friendly, accommodating and helpful. He is very knowledgeable about things to do in Bogota and will go over and beyond to help you plan your excursions. His English is also impeccable.||||The hostel itself is quite nice! The kitchen is a little small, but the rooms are spaciousness and clean, with choices from 4,6 or 8 bed dorm rooms as well as rooms with a single double-bed. The showers have good pressure and an endless supply of steaming hot water.||||The location of the hostel is severely underrated. I've enjoyed my stay in the Usaquen area far more than in La Candalaria. It's a hip area with lots of nice restaurants and pubs. A cool market and mall just steps away. Walking around this area at night is substantially safer than in el centro or around La Candalaria. It's also close to major bus lines to get downtown as well as close enough to the edge of the city to leave on excursions into the nearby National Park, Chingaza.||||If you're staying for one night or more, the friendly welcome and atmosphere every time you walk in the door makes this quickly feel like a little home. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.||||The area also has beautiful lights during the Christmas season.||||PS: It might cost a few more pesos than the hostel 4 doors down, but the friendliness, service and quality of rooms and bathrooms doesn't even compare. It's definitely worth...
Read morePlace well located, but Inside is a complete mess. Owner looked very out of balance, nervous all the time, wide open eyes...
I could understand after a talk with the owner and after certain questions to "volunteers" that there exist a slave work schema: volunteers have no dinner, they sleep in a dirty and inappropriate room with only mattresses on the floor when hostel over sale places...even the owner confessed to me to adjust or punish supposed errors from volunteers in daily operations, offering lunch or not! So...this place is not only wrong in service aspects, it is completely out of law and business owner accepted being leading an opression working schema. Stay away! That Hostel must be banned from all platforms and integrators. Awful interaction with owner with gross and disrespectful manners and words, Adam's Family hostel....run away and help others saving them awful...
