Wow! I have no words to describe how incredible of a time we had here. We used our Chase Travel Rewards and stayed for about 10 days but went to Isla Grande for 3 of them while the hotel stored our bags. Beautiful hotel, absolutely incredible staff.
The hotel/house itself is gorgeous, with beautiful furniture and very intentionally designed decor. It is so nice to stay in a boutique hotel where every aspect of the location feels like a work of art. I think I have developed a new passion for furniture after staying here :) The courtyard is full of plants and coming from living in a dry, cold place, it felt pretty magical. The pools were both lovely. The courtyard pool is shaded and was very cold and thus perfect to swim in during the hottest part of the day. We only used the rooftop pool at sunset and at night. There were also some nice spots to hang around the hotel outside of the room. Bathrooms were perfect.
Breakfasts were delicious. Loved the tableware.
Staff was EXTRAORDINARY! incredibly attentive, friendly, welcoming, generous, and just authentically caring. They also helped us out with every need we had, including some unexpected, tricky situations. One of the staff members went out of his way before coming to work to go to a busy market and buy a bunch of fruit and then gave us an hour-long very in-depth fruit tour of over 20 different types of fruit. I have traveled in South America a decent amount and have never done a tour like this with so many different fruit. It was absolutely a highlight of the trip for both my partner and me.
We both enjoyed our stay so much and would come back n a heart beat. We came at the beginning of December...
Read moreFrom the moment the heavy front door was opened for us, and we were seated with a cold fruit drink during registration, to the very last moment, this hotel provided a calm retreat from the busy streets of Cartagena. We were told that there were only twin beds left when we booked, so we were concerned, however we were pleasantly surprised when we saw that "twin" apparently only meant two large beds in the room! We had a gorgeous, huge room, and the bathroom had a huge shower and all the amenities. We faced the street with two beautiful doors opening to a balcony. We were concerned about street noise, and we did get some of that, but with the doors and wooden shutters closed, it was fine. The included breakfast was exceptional, with full table service serving fruits, breads and other items. It was delicious and generous. The common areas were gorgeous, and we enjoyed sitting and ordering a Mojito. There is no formal bar or restaurant at the hotel, however, the ability to order a drink and enjoy the surroundings in a quiet place was fantastic. The only complaint we had was that the hot tub on the roof was lukewarm. A gentleman came up to turn up the heat, but it never really got any hotter, and we didn't want to wait. Again, we were able to have drinks brought up to the roof, and the atmosphere, under the stars, was fantastic. The service here was discreet and effective. You always have to have someone unlock and open the huge antique wooden door when you are coming and going, but that simply made the inside an oasis. I would say this is on the pricier side of options in Cartagena, but the personal...
Read moreWe had an absolutely amazing experience renting a boat through Hotel Quadrifolio! From the moment we arrived at the marina in Santa Cruz de Manga, everything was perfectly organized. Our host, Dario Suárez, was incredibly welcoming and made sure every detail was taken care of.
We were traveling with our five-year-old twins and our six-year-old nephew, and the entire crew—especially our captains, Jesús and Rafael—were so kind, attentive, and professional. They made us feel safe and comfortable the entire time, and were wonderful with the kids.
We spent the first part of the day at the beautiful Hotel San Pedro de Majagua on Isla Grande, enjoying the calm, turquoise waters and relaxing atmosphere. Afterward, we cruised through the open ocean, taking in the stunning views and enjoying the perfect weather. It was the ideal mix of adventure and relaxation for both adults and little ones.
This was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Cartagena. If you’re looking for a family-friendly, luxurious, and memorable experience on the water, I can’t recommend Hotel Quadrifolio and their team enough. Huge thanks to Dario, Jesús, and Rafael for making it such a special day...
