Diego Moya salon review
We ( myself and a friend) scheduled a hot stone massage and hydrating face mask. When we arrived we were greeted with drinks and a nice relaxing front desk environment. However, within the first 15 minutes of the massage I asked the massage therapist why she was not using hot stones. We were told that all the stones were tied up and that we could not have the hot stone massage that we were scheduled for. They explained the regular massage was the same price, for a package total of 180, 000 columbian pesos. We overlooked the minor error, even though I know that hot stone massages are typically a little more money. After the massage, we were asked if we would like to take a shower and were given robes to go down stairs in the spa bathroom. I showered and went back upstairs to get dressed, and then brought my friends belongings downstairs. We tipped the ladies and went straight to movies at Bocagrande Mall. That is when we realized that money was taken from my friends wallet. We reported it to the manager and explained that we contemplated getting the police involved. The following day my friend called back as requested by staff, and was told that we had to go to the salon for a face to face meeting to resolve the issue at hand. The manger was extremely disrespectful, cutting us off when tried to explain that we did not want to go to the salon if the problem could not be resolved. The game of "he said/ she said" was not worth fighting over. What upset us the most was not the theft of the money, but the way that we were treated when we reported the problem. The manager challenged us to go to the salon for a showdown of words that were simply uncalled for. When we asked to speak to Diego Moya personally, to report the matter, we were told by the manager that she speaks for him and that he is too busy. My hope is that Mr. Moya is aware of just how his clients are being treated. I do not normally ever write reviews, or publicly blast organizations over poor service, but unfortunately in this case I feel that it is strongly warranted. To Mr. Moya, your salon is beautiful, but the respect that your spa manager shows clients, is the most important...
Read moreThey cant cut curly hair! I had a pretty awful haircut at the Salon, and it was done by Señor Diego himself!
Context: I have very fine, blonde hair that is straight on top but curly on the bottom. I informed them that I wanted it shorter and to frame my face, but that I wear it curly and wanted the hairstyle to complement my curls... so something along the lines of a long bob.
The whole procedure took 12 minutes!!! Shampoo and cut!!! I paid 50,000 to have my head quickly yanked around at the shampoo bowl and then for Diego to cut it in the remaining time! Not relaxing in the slightest, I felt like they were just trying to get me out so they could squeeze in the next customer.
I didnt feel like he took the time to actually talk to me and listen to what I want and the result was that he ended up feathering it so now instead of natural ringlets I just have very short hair with no volume, that ends in a load of frizzy, unstructured waves that look like split ends. Not to mention that half of it isnt symmetrical and the bits at the front are different lengths!
Won't be going back and now I'm dreading my...
Read moreWent yesterday to do my grays, cut my ends, blow dry and iron it flat. Before going I had gotten an estimate of how much it was going to be. They said around 260,000 COP. I had given a description of my hair length, which they asked for before estimate. And what I wanted done. Didn't add anything once I got there. Went there everything nice, everybody super! Maria, my hairdresser, was excellent! When it came time to pay they told me 350,000 COP. To which I showed them the estimate they had given me and she said it was just an estimate which I understand but dont understand the hike in price. Then they went on to describe what I had asked for plus a treatment. So I did not ask for a treatment and they didn't ask me if I wanted one and dont know when they did it. I would suggest you ask the customer first if they want a treatment, not just charge them for it at the end and I also suggest you stick close to your estimate if the description your customer gave you is real. It creates a bad feeling when you're trying to be taken advantage of. We're tourists but we're not dumb. We are...
