The staff in this hostel were really lovely and helpful. There are two buildings with rooms, and my friends stay in 1 while my room was in the other which is literally 2 doors away. This was not a problem at all, and actually was very nice. ||The second building was recently refurbished and my room was small but bright and inviting. Feedback, would include, as I stayed in the room first into the building on the ground floor. There is a lot of noise, from people working/walking around/ walking up the staircase and hitting the window which is actually behind my bed and where your head would be. I can sleep through a lot of noise but I can imagine it would be hard for light sleepers. ||Even so, the kitchen and mini seating area was lovely in this building. Recommend adding a little dining table to the kitchen area. ||The roof terrace was also lovely and had a good view of the old town. The hot tub, is extremely small and is only for 2 people. ||The location of the hostel, I would was really great. Close enough to wander through the main streets but also on the side path that you are surrounded by locals and can sit outside at night immersed with them. A great combo...
Read moreMy friend and I booked a private room here only an hour before we checked in! The staff was welcoming, acommidating and sooooo friendly!! ||||The location was central to A TON of bars and restaurants where you can find authentic Colombian food! The square is right down the street where there are lots of vendors, and street food! It’s a meeting place where people hang out and play music. ||||It’s about a 10 minute walk to the clock tower where most of the tours and souvenir shopping is. ||||Over all, I would HIGHLY recommend this place. It was clean, and comfy! The bathrooms were just big enough to take showers and use the bathroom, but if you are a REAL traveler, then you’d know that you don’t need much space. The neighborhood is very safe also. No worries there. ||||They also offer tons of packages to the beaches and other tourist destinations so you don’t have to wander about and figure out how...
Read moreBooking one day hostel was very impulsive to say the least. After seeing it’s tantalising £4.50 a night dorms I couldn’t resist. This was supposed to be an 8 person dorm, however to my pleasure they had split the 4 bunk beds into 2 rooms so it now became a 4 person room.... for 4 squid. Ideal. The dorm also offered amazing blankets and air con so you can use the blankets. This stay had to end because we wanted to stay longer than planned but the beds were taken. We needed somewhere to say. And this is where One day hostel changed to one day hotel, they offer 3 person rooms, that match most 3 star hotels. Also a terrace on the roof for privacy which is hard to find in Cartagena. The staff were dank and when we left we really missed our roof top spot. The drinks are pretty well priced and it’s located pretty well. Look for tony he’ll get you what you need in Cartagena. One day I will come back to...
