Read moreIncredible hospitality, cleanliness, quiet, and amenities. We loved it here. From even before we checked in, the front desk people were super responsive to my questions—helping us to arrange an airport transfer and help with getting settled. We arrived earlier than the check in time so we rated in the lobby and had a beer and soon moved up to the room. I was very pleasantly surprised by the apartment space: exceedingly clean, quiet, 1.5 baths, 2 TVs, and even air conditioning. We learned from friends in another new building nearby that they didn’t have AC so we felt really lucky. AC was just in the bedroom but that’s all that we needed. Our room looked out over the courtyard which was always quiet. Security was top notch, the whole building really quiet. What I loved the most was that the front desk was available by WhatsApp so if I had a question at any time about anything, they were right there with an answer. They were simply outstanding at all times of the day and they greeted us by name daily. Just incredible. The pool on the roof was on the smaller side but it wasn’t a problem. It was hard to find seating a couple of times but people didn’t stay up there for long. The building itself is just outside the happening area of Poblado, which is really nice because it’s so quiet. It’s like a 15 minute walk down the hill or a 4 minute cab ride. A really nice walk down, a somewhat more strenuous walk back up the hill. :) I really can’t say nicer things about Loma Verde. I am so happy we stayed there and if we return to Medellín we will without a doubt stay there again. The staff was so friendly and made our stay...
Read moreWe booked this place on Airbnb mentioning that we were visiting my wife's family in Medellin and needed a base whilst in Medellin. We go to check in and they try to make us sign another contract outside of Airbnb. The contract says that we are not allowed to have more than 2 guests visit the apartment and extra guests will be charged at 100,000 pesos! (£20). I paid over £1000 for 3 weeks stay, and that is a significantly large amount of money in Colombia and they have the cheek to put in the small print that if we invite any of our family over for more than five minutes they will charge us!! Total greed and disrespect, the amount that I paid, I should have been treated like a king! What is this place? A very expensive prison? We even wrote in our Airbnb booking that we were here to see family!! Unbelievable. How on earth this place is on Airbnb is beyond me. The whole point of Airbnb is a home from home, this place is about as homely as a Gulag!! The only saving grace was that they immediately refunded my money when we were not happy about the situation, although with no apology and arrogantly referring to the small print over and over again. I do hope that Airbnb have not lost their way, as I have stayed in many excellent airbnbs over the years and I am also a host. I understand entirely the spirit of Airbnb. Unfortunately this place does not! Airbnb users , please be wary of this money grabbing and...
