This is a Brand New Hotel. They just open on December 17th, 2018 and is very close to downtown. They are like they say: a hidden oasis, because in your way there you will never imagine that place is there. They are not in the main street, they are like behind another hotel and the price is owesome. 59 usd + taxes for 2 people including breakfast. All their rooms has A.C. their own bathroom with hot water, really beautiful, flat TV with Netflix! A mini fridge, a small but useful desk and 2 queen size beds. A big pool with outstanding view of the Arenal Volcano and gardens. They are 10 rooms, in a gorgeous 2 level building. They don't have any stairs going up, so its easy to carry your bags and awesome for people with wheelchairs :) People there is very friendly. The owners are a local family and you can tell they are putting their Hearts and Soul on this proyect, you see them cleaning the pool, helping in the kitchen with the delicious costarrican breakfast or saying "hola" walking around the property. Definitely is a place you will recommend and will love to come back :) Thank you to Marcos, Marialex and Ale for their...
Read moreThe Hotel was very nice, rooms and bathrooms had been updated and we were quite pleased with the accommodations. The property is situated far enough away from town to keep town noises down, but close enough to walk up into town to find restaurants and shops. The Hotel provided breakfast which was the best breakfast spread of our trip. The food and the presentation was wonderful! | The second night of our stay a bus load of young teens stayed at the hotel from a group called Education First. This group ruined our stay. I get that teens can get boisterous when in groups like that, but the chaperones seemed to leave them to run wild and stay up screaming throughout the night. I saw the front desk guy go around telling them to go to their rooms, but once in the rooms the noise got louder and finally quieted down at 0300 in the morning. And yes I had ear plugs. If these are ambassadors of what the US has to offer the world, we are seriously in trouble. Rude, entitled, inconsiderate. I got no sleep my last night and we had to be up at 0500 to drive back to San Jose. Shame on the...
Read moreI recently stayed at Campo Arenal Hotel and overall had a pleasant experience. The room we stayed in was large, and while a bit dated, it was clean and cozy. The beds were very comfortable, and we were fortunate to have the one room with a view of the volcano. The room was equipped with air conditioning and Netflix, which were much appreciated given the climate.
Breakfast was included in our stay and offered a good variety, ensuring there was something for everyone. However, the entrance to the hotel was affected by the construction of a bridge, and we had to drive through another hotel to get there. Despite this, the location was quiet, though the room was quite dark.
The reception staff were very helpful, providing guidance to the pharmacy and recommending places to visit.
One of the highlights of our stay was the opportunity to see wildlife in their natural habitat, thanks to the abundance of trees and plants around the hotel.
Overall, Campo Arenal Hotel offers a comfortable stay with good amenities and a...
