Boutique Hostel Shappy — Hotel in City of Zagreb

Location - was right in the center of everything. When I first got there it was a little hard to find but afterwards there was no issue to find it every time. ||Breakfast was amazing - eggs, cheeses, different kinds of bread, fruit and vegetables. And it is FREE / included in the price. ||Staff were extremely helpful, with recommendations or directions. Very good service.||Notice they dont have a 24 hour reception (they also say it during check in) so if you have a flight or bus to catch solve things when there's still someone there (8 am to midnight, very reasonable hours) ||Room was big enough and warm, although lockers aren't big so can only fit valuables things. ||Toilet and showers were fine.||Notice it's not the best hostel if you're looking to meet people. ||Overall hostel was great and I would definitely...

1. Price: really expansive for being a hostel, also about the points i'll write here.||2) Our room was terribly SMALL. Unfortunately i haven't foto of It. But room was maximum 3x3 mt. with a bathroom really too small. Wasn't NO ONE FORNITURE for puting inside dresses... clothes... NOTHING!!||3) Douche in bathroom was so and so, with water that worked not always fine.||4) Breakfast: terrible point. Was in a room complitely COLD that was between the rooms and the street out, situated all in an OPEN space! For sure the few calorifers that weren't couldn't do nothing for that cold. So, going to do breakfast was similar to go in a "war" in the morning. The breakfast for sure was absolutely all COLD.||||The only good thing of this hostel was the position, very near to the principal Square. But to not repeat...

This was a lovely hostel, we had a beautiful twin room with shared bathroom. All clean and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was excellent and the staff friendly and help. The hostel is in a perfect position not far from trams if arriving by bus and can easily walk to places of interest and the many lovely bars and restaurants. On our Europe trip we have realised that our understanding of a hostel is different in some countries, there is no kitchen. We would both feel safe here if we'd been travelling as solo middle aged women....
