Oranž Bistro & Wine Bar — Restaurant in City of Zagreb

This is unfortunately the second time in a row where we had to leave because of very very ineffective service. Everything in the place looks great - but the Service is not capable of taking care of its customers. Second time in a row that we have waited 20+ minutes to even get acknowledged - let alone served. Two times I went up to the register and politely asked should we sit down and wait to be served - or could we order there. Both time they sent us to sit down and wait - and both time we sat and observed how they didnt even acknowledge us. At times I even wondered if we had a cloak of invisibility - because as we were observing them and we saw multiple times that they actually could have served us and the 4 tables next to us that ALL left also. They Could - but they didnt. The 4 tables next to us left - and they didnt even notice they left - as they would not have noticed us if we didnt say something three times. I am really sorry that I have to give this review - I am really sorry that for the second time in a row I didnt get to taste their foods - and I am the really really sorry that I will unfortunately never ever visit this place again and will have to share my dissatisfaction with everyone who asks me about this place. WIshing you all the best - and I sincerely hope that the Service will get better - because this IS the most IMPORtant thing in this kind...

I visited this place and sat on the outdoor terrace, which is located directly on a public street. While sitting, I had my sandals off and tucked my legs underneath me - something quite common for casual outdoor seating. A waiter came over and asked me to “sit properly” because, as he said, the way I was sitting “ruins the view” for the restaurant. This felt unnecessarily rude, especially for a casual, non-fine-dining setting. After that, the same waiter came back every 20 minutes to check whether I had put my feet down, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable and surveilled.I ordered a rare rump steak. When it arrived, it smelled clearly off - like spoiled meat.I immediately asked to speak to the manager. I was told the manager would come in 30 minutes. I waited. No one came. After half an hour, still no manager, no replacement meal, no apology - and I left hungry. This was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had in Zagreb. Poor service, inappropriate behavior from staff, and food safety issues - all in one visit. I sincerely hope the management takes this feedback...

I usually don't make bad reviews about establishments but my experience here was so unpleasant that I just want everybody who's reading this to know. Rude waiters, racists. I went in, no queue, and there was a waiter near the door who was just chatting with someone else, obviously ignoring me for a full 10 mins, until i politely asked if he was working there. He looked at me from head to toe, and then rudely replied with an angry face "yes, what do you want?" And I replied to him "can i have a table please?" And he made an angry face again telling me "can't you see everything's full" when I just saw a group of people standing up to leave. I was so furious that I almost went to the police for what I feel a racial attack but I remembered I can just make a review here in google to warn others who want to visit this place to avoid it at all cost if they value fair treatment of customers no matter what color of their skin is. It's so ironic to have this kind of treatment in a country where a huge percentage of its GDP comes...
