Great located hotel on one of the main shopping streets.|Slept really well and velux had blackout blind and no noise experienced.|It’s your typical European hotel, clean, slightly older style than the chain hotels but equally we love this as more unique. |Hotel staff were all lovely. Breakfast was typical offering of cereals/pastries/cheese/meats. Hot offering was hot dog sausages, eggs and veg. Fruit and yoghurts also served.|Tea, coffee and juices. |A nice small hotel and the restaurant looked busy but we did not have a chance to visit. |Right in the heart of the lower town. Get an Uber from the airport as same price as the shuttle bus, we did notice a local bus opposite the hotel but did not make it over to that one and used a coach called city hopper at the airport exit. The hotel is in a pedestrian area so a brief 100m walk from nearest street for drop off.|There is no lift in the hotel, but only two floors (4 split levels of stairs).|Tea/coffee and small mini bar in the room, hairdryer and luggage rack. Shower was standard. Toiletries included too. Hairdryer and desk/chair. Need a make up mirror if using the desk as a...

We had a disappointing stay here, especially given the cost! The space felt much more run down than it looks in the pictures. The walls in our room were dirty and smudged; the bathroom walls had dirty fingerprints and runs of soap down the walls; the shelf above the sink in the bathroom had visible water damage/swelling; a lightbulb was burnt out; and the button to flush the toilet only worked when you pushed it just right. The bed was so soft and springy we sank into it, and the pillows were rough too — I had to fold mine to have any support. In general the room felt run down and not well maintained (very different from a space feeling historical - we went in knowing it was the oldest hotel in Zagreb, which was appealing to us!).

The outdoor spaces actually were nice, and breakfast was decent too; and obviously the location is good. It seems that a lot more care and maintenance goes into the external spaces (and the cafe downstairs) than the actual hotel rooms.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here...

Plus: A beautiful hotel in the best location. Very helpful and amiable staff. Breakfast was nice. Loved the fact that they arranged a private parking zone for the hotel guests (a few minutes walk) since the hotel is located in a pedestrian only road.

Minus: An old hotel and you can sense it. The room was beautifully designed but it was quite small and the facilities looked kinda worn out. Also, the room had a weird smell, like mold… The shower-head had a good strong stream, but if you opened it on really hot water and wanted to make it warm, you had to shut it completely and only then switch the faucet to a colder temperature, otherwise it didn’t work while the water was running. You are given the choice between 2 single beds and 1 twin bed and we requested for a twin bed, but in reality, it was 2 single beds pushed together. The mattress was really hard and the gap between the beds was noticeable. So the sleeping experience...

We usually stay in hotel Esplanade in Zagreb, but this time we traveled with our Harley and I was lured to hotel Jagerhorn by the promise of a secure , protected parking . When we arrived we discovered the parking place was in a dilapidated state , surrounded by ruins of buildings and the gate non functioning. We called the hotel as I wouldn't leave my motorcycle there. The lady at the reception tried to help and in the end, we left our motorcycle in a nearby public underground parking . The hotel agreed to pay for the parking . The hotel is very central , but quiet and its nice going out of the hotel and being right in the center. The rooms are basic but clean , breakfast was also nice even though selection isn't great. The guys in the reception were very nice and tried to help us with our parking problem.
