Possibly a scam. The admission fee for us was $60 Kuna per person. But reading review (after we paid) there's a review from just only 2 weeks ago that suggested a $30/person admission fee.
So am not really sure, maybe they charge different for tourists vs local or based off of ethincity?
The place is pretty nice, definitely worth 30 kunas if that was the price.. a bit questionable for 60 though.. you get an almost 360 view of Zagreb and it's fenced off all around so also kid friendly.
We we're here on a 30 degree day and it still feels kinda nice (not hot or anything)
They have some cool color changing led around the place so I'd imagine it would look pretty funny at night too (we we're here during the day)
Also unlimited re-admission so you can come in the day for a view, explore Zagreb and come back at sunset/night time for a different view.
Again, 30/person is pretty good but 60/person...
Read moreI go to high viewpoints in all the cities I visit to get a bird's eye view and do photography. This one ranks among one of the very best: there is no glass in the way meaning no bad reflections, there are bars but any lens or cell phone will easily fit through. There is a flat ledge so you can take night photos without a tripod. There is a 320 degree or so accessibility meaning you can see everything. Location is central meaning you see all key landmarks of Zagreb. The price is excellent for the facilities you get, and your entry fee counts for the whole day meaning you can go back at any time, even in the evening. Best of all the staff there from the reception at the bottom to those on top were extremely pleasant and helpful. They have a bar, facilities and lots of seating space on top. I was there on a Monday afternoon and...
Read moreThe least favourite place to visit in my book, and I have quite a few places notched there. The staff varies from okay to rude, the price of admission was 20 kn the last time I visited, and I'd say that's about optimal for what the site can offer. Apparently it's been raised to 60 kn and it's hard to see the value for money in it anymore. It does bring the definite "I-can-see-my-house-from-here" feeling, because I literally can, but that's nothing to write home about. Due to a number of jumpers in the 60s and 70s there is now an array of prison-like bars, mounted around the deck, obstructing the view. I can get why some visitors are irked by it. They would probably just want to jump themselves, having paid 60 kn for this, when they could have just climbed the nearby Gradec hill and get a much prettier view for...
