This is a super boutique hotel in the North of the city. The staff cannot do enoough for you. The rooms are squeaky clean and the maintenance of the whole place has to be commented on - slick, minimalist, modern and stylish with homely touches. It really does have a luxury feel. There is a gym and a sauna and a lovely terrace that I used a lot. The breakfast is varied and delicious and the staff are just wonderful. I really enjoyed my stay. The only (very small) negative is that there is no food apart from a cheese and meat platter available for during the day or evening - yoou have to go out or order in. But Zagreb is a very safe city and easy to get about - you can walk , get a bius or a taxi very easily and be wherever you want to be within 10 minutes. And I know the staff would never let you go hungry! |In the rooms the beds are super comfy, the place is quiet with double glazing that insulates well and there is a mini bar for...
Read moreWhat a lovey, quiet, and comfortable place to spend our first night in Croatia after a long journey from the US, complete with airport sprints and a missed flight. The room was compact but beautiful and tastefully done with just the right lighting and finishes. Our bed was comfortable, the bathroom was relatively spacious, everything worked as it should, and the hotel manager did an exceptional job of keeping staff and guests quiet so we could sleep soundly even though our room was next to the front desk. And the BREAKFAST - wow! So artfully presented and delicious, including smoothies, yogurt, cold cuts, cheeses, bread selection, vegetables, eggs made-to-order. We couldn't have asked for better, although be aware that parking is a challenge in this neighborhood if you are driving a car. Super easy and convenient if you're in a taxi or uber though. Thank you, HOH owners and staff, for making our experience...
Read moreWe stayed in AG Matoš room. I travel a lot and I can say this was one of my favourite hotel stays ever. The service was impeccable, room design stylish and of high quality and location perfect. Zagreb is my hometown but I have been living abroad for many years. As someone who knows Zagreb very well- do yourself a favour and don't go to big (especially chain) hotels, even if 5 star standard. Book this hotel instead and get real feeling of the city (while still enjoying high quality service). Location in Gornji grad is perfect- quiet, romantic but still 5 min walking to the main square through a nice street. A nice cafe in front of a hotel and all the sights on Upper town nearby (St Marko church, Parliament, Museum of broken realtionships etc.). Little hotel terrace is great, you can enjoy the greenery and have a very nice breakfast. I recommend trying strukli,...
