History Bar & Club — Restaurant in City of Zagreb

(Happened just a few hours ago, today as of 14/10/2024.)

In regards of food, none. But i had to lable it in 3 stars just for the few drinks and beers we had since they had nice choises. Thats all the nice words i have to say for this establishment.

We had a decent time, we had some bills since... they stack up pretty quick, probably policy due to young people running off after not paying. We paid our drinks and left.

Here comes the issue...

Service and experience is 1 star, mainly due to a roided up employee that pretty much was sweating in our direction that we didn't pay for a coca cola (We left and he ran after us which we didn't even notice, since we thought everything was alright.) As if he was ready to fight me and my partner.

he was pretty much saying "Did you pay the coca cola?!" We did? We thought, checked on the banking app and we didn't, which was odd, since we paid. (Context: We assumed we paid all the drinks since all bills were present, but apparently the cola wasn't included because a other waiter forgot. So we did not pay for that by accident.)

Naturally, this wasn't our fault but more or less the lack of information on how this bar operated, we were just tourists. Hard to know every single bit. We were polite at first, but this staff member specifically with the almost very short hair and unshaved facial hair. Was accusing us that it was our fault specifically. (I got angry at that.) We said to just calm down and we'd pay the bill nonetheless. He probably thought he caught two thieves, which was insane. He was already being pretty rude and ruffled up before we even met the guy since we saw him run around like a headless chicken.

I said "Do no accuse us, this wasn't our fault. blame your poor work ethic and bad cooperation with your colleagues. How are we supposed to know?" Too which he pretty much looked at me aggressively. This guy was already escalating every single response we had. Simply said, he was being a... Insert phallic insult.

Got our last day ruined along with our evening, and i was pretty upset about this because he made me feel reasonably threatened and was extremely rude. Avoid this place, they have trust issues. Or at least, that guy specifically. Just go to the many other bars in that street that was designed half for tourists in mind. If not,...

FOOD POISENING!! DO NOT EAT HERE!! WORST FOOD IN THE COUNTRY OF CROATIA!! WE ate here with our family. My husband and son ordered the signature dish, the Village Tavica. It was so salty, and had a strange taste that they could barely eat it, but they took several bites before sending it back. I ordered the Jaffa Chicken which was supposed to be chicken in an orange sauce, but there was no orange at all, just a heavy icky cream sauce and FRIED, yes FRIED!! Gnocchi!!! The menu didn’t say the gnocchi would be fried, but it was.. I could not eat it. My daughter ordered the bacon wrapped chicken, it was equally disgusting. We had the waitress take our dishes back to the manager and told the waitress how horrible it was.. the manager did not even bother to come to our table. We paid to make ourselves sick!! My son and husband have been vomiting since about an hour after we left the restaurant. Something in their dish was rotten, and they got food poisoning. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF and do not order food here!!! I would give it a negative 100 STARS...
