Dubrovnik Old Town Hostel — Hotel in Dubrovnik

This charming hostel with historic architectural touches (actual antique murals on some of the ceilings, exposed stone walls) is smack dab in the middle of the old town. This location at this price can’t be beat! The staff are very friendly and helpful - they have good recommendations for attractions and tours, and lots of information about buses/ferries/taxies etc. There are kitchen facilities if you want to make your own meals.||Dorm beds are comfortable, and each comes with its own bedside light and power outlet for charging. There are also lockers if you want to lock up valuables or a small bag (you must provide your own lock).||There is no aircon, but they do provide small fans, 1 for each dorm bed, and they kept me very comfortable during my September visit.||Everything was very clean...

Smack bang off the main Stradum - walking distance of almost everything you would want to see in Dubrovnik. Historical - good price for its location - great staff and clean! What else would you want? I'll admit as a bad sleeper I took a private room - but they're not en-suite - however there is a shower & toilet on every floor and they're cleaned - a lot! You will need your own towel unless you are very short and it is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as it is an old palace with lots of stairs. But hot drinks and cereal are free and you can cook your own food if you so wish. A perfect location as you enter the city walls, adjacent to a five-star hotel and many fine restaurants. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the common area showers and of the spotless rooms, sun fresh white linens and towels, and quiet walls. There were plenty of power plugs in the bedroom which was fantastic for charging phones and other electronic devices. It was also convenient to have a healthy bowl of muesli granola before departing in the morning which was provided complementary in a very tidy kitchen.
