Dora is a horrible woman and yes the card machine not working trick is still not working in 2021! No hot water for three days, the apartment was filthy and when we asked for it to be cleaned again she refused. We are still under COVID restrictions and refusing to clean an apartment is unacceptable! She lives above the apartments and refused to meet with us to check on the problems but then demands the payment for the room. She sent her husband banging on our door at 8am and threatening us. The customer is never right with Dora so spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Tv did not work, aircon was not cooling. Bed springs were so bad and worn. Read moreWe arrived at 7:30 PM, exhausted and carrying all our luggage, only to find no one there to greet us. After standing outside for nearly half an hour trying to reach someone, we were shockingly told to come back at 10 PM — no apology, no explanation. When we finally managed to check in, the host insisted on cash payment, despite the booking stating card payments were accepted. To make matters worse, they added an unexplained “extra fee” on top of the agreed price. We were short by just €1 and were met with a completely disproportionate, humiliating outburst in front of other guests.
The room itself was far below basic: dirty sheets, a musty smell, and broken fixtures. There was no hot water, and the heating didn’t work — unacceptable considering the time of year. It felt more like a scam than a legitimate hotel.
But it didn’t stop there. After we checked out (having paid in full), the host had the audacity to cancel the booking on the platform and report us as a no-show — effectively trying to charge us twice. When we confronted them, they threatened to contact Booking.com and demand a second payment unless we agreed not to leave a negative review.
This was easily the most unprofessional and unpleasant experience I've ever had while traveling. Do yourself a favour: stay far away from this place. Read moreThe room is in great location but to describe it as an apartment is misleading to say the least. The bedroom is claustrophobic with nowhere to hang clothes. The narrow staircase traverses the head of the bed so there’s no chance of sitting up in bed, and every chance of injuring your head. When you climb the stairs, you cannot stand full height. The worst part is that this it is described as having a private bathroom but this is NOT the case. At the top of the narrow, open staircase is a toilet pan, a sink and a shower but no door so you may as well have the toilet in the same room because every personal aspect can be heard (you can imagine). I have wondered why there are not many recent reviews or reviews that mention this but here’s why. When you complain, the landlady says that she would rather you didn’t stay.and, in our case, she offered to cancel the second 2 nights free of charge but insisted on full cash payment for the first night. |The hassle, inconvenience and extra expense associated with this was most unwelcome. She then asked us to be dishonest and lie to booking.com and say that we never checked in. If you complain, she cancels the booking so you are never invited to review by booking.com as the status shows as cancelled. It is also not made clear at the time of booking that payment is cash only. This is proprietor to avoid at all costs and don’t let other or older reviews fool you....
