Rooms Kazerma||Rooms Kazerma was practically the last option available to us having tried last minute to book a room inside the old city walls of Dubrovnik. It turned out to be a great option and I would recommend it. On the plus side the location is quiet but still very close to all that is going on, there was good air conditioning, decent wifi connection and a fridge in our room. It was also immaculately clean. The directions that the owners sent me to get from the Pila Gate to the room was spot on. ||On the down side the room was very small. It was the size of a double bed with about 18 inches around two sides of it. As it was also in the eaves of the building that added to the feeling of enclosure. Like most hotels or rooms in Dubrovnik it is up several flights of pretty steep steps and being close to the city walls we were up more steps than most!||Reasonably priced for a double room in the old town at the peak of the...
Read moreWe visited Dubrovnik in September (just one night), and wanted to stay in the city center. Rooms Kazerma was a perfect match - great location, inside the Old Town, just next to the city walls (therefore no availability by bus or car).||The room was very small, but clean and quite enough for one night stay. The owner is very pleasant lady, who brought us juice and cake :) and she uses a starch for the sheets...it was a pleasure to lay down in bed, after a long exhaustive walk!||Don't know if the lady is fluent in English - we were speaking our language :)||Perfect location - small but pleasant room - great price for the value.||||Tip: there are ca. 100 stairs to this facility. It is recommended not to carry big bags/cases. If you ||do have these, be clever and drop them at the main...

The Kazerma is itself in the old walls, so you could be sleeping in a 500-year room. The view over the old town is rather blocked, but someone started a "garden" downstairs and attracts a gathering of cats. The rooms are spacious, but there are stairs, and few toilets / showers available, so expect a wait here and then. The landlady helps out with your enquiries...
