Did you see people on top of this amazing fort when on the City Walls walk? But could not figure out how to get over there? Read on. The City Walls walk entry ticket allows a free entry to Fort Lawrence and a free entry to the "Western Bulwark" that is valid for 3 days. You use the "Western Bulwark " ticket to get on top of this fort and also see an underground network of weapon and cannonballs manufacture under the the whole length of the west side. The entry is under Fort Minceta - so not near Fort Bokar - at the end of Celestina Medovica street near a school's basketball/futsal court. You go in there, see the excavations and tunnels and walk over the Pile Gate all the way down to Fort Bokar. After exploring the Fort , an attendant man's a door to let you out at the Pile Gate. A great extra tour with the best views at the...

Bokar is one of the five most important towers on Dubrovnik's city walls. It is located at the western end of the wall, close to the fortress Lovrijenac.

The tower was constructed and completed by Micheloz's designs in 1570, although the construction began in 1461. It is an architecturally clean and harmonious circular volume with three corners, very interesting for interior and terraces. It has a skirmish shape. It has been used for ballistic firefighting for the purpose of defending the city borough and the bridge at Prakovci from Pila and controlling access to the sea in case of siege or unloading of the enemy in...

Dubrovnik aka Kings Landing in a snap. ✨SAVE LIST for your next trip✨ 🫰🇭🇷🧝🏻‍♀️🐉 🏰 This was my first time visiting Croatia and I already can’t wait to go back! As a huge GOT’s fan, getting to explore the real King’s Landing was so cool! Coming to this destination was also very special as Game of Thrones was my mom @bitajoonie & I’s favorite show and we used to watch together every week. She’d never let me skip the intro since she would hum the song & loved the melody before every episode, it was so cute. It’s bittersweet to think she never got to see the GOT finale as she left us too soon, but I’m sure she wouldn’t be happy anyway as Khaleesi was her favorite! IYKYK 😉 Visiting all the famous spots made me miss and think of her so much, she would have loved it here! In her honor I’ve complied a list of top instagrammable & GOT spots I’ve visited where scenes from the show were filmed: 🔅City Walls ⚜️Gradac Park 🔅Fort Lovrijenac ⚜️West Harbour and Pier 🔅Kolorina Bay/Pile Bay ⚜️Pile Gate 🔅Bokar Fort ⚜️Rupe Ethnographic Museum 🔅The Jesuit Staircase ⚜️The Rectors Palace 🔅St. Dominic’s Street  ⚜️The Stradun 🔅Ploče Gate ⚜️Minčeta Tower 🔅Lokrum Island ⚜️Trsteno Arboretum 🔅Hotel Bevedere ⚜️SRD Hill 📍TELL ME: Are you a GOT fan? What was your favorite scenes from the show? Mine was between Joffrey dying, Khaleesi trading her dragon for the Unsullied then busting out in Valyrian, or when Sam first kills the white walker with dragon glass! #LATGxGOT #croatia #dubrovnik #GOT #gameofthrones #kingslanding
