Stayed in a double room here during my visit to Dubrovnik, and it was really clean! There was even a welcome drink and biscuits offered when I arrived. The hosts were also really nice. I had a good chat with Katarina's son and also met his daughter whom Katarina helps to take care of. The family's dog Bianca was really friendly too, and made me miss my own jack russell back home. ||||The apartment is not that near to the old city, but still of walking distance (around half an hour). Otherwise, the bus stops for taking a bus to the old city are not far from the apartment. There are two bus stops - one is up from the apartment where you can take bus no. 8, but the waiting time can be long; the other one is down from the apartment and there are more than 3 buses to take to the old city. Do check with the host on the options!||||Getting to the bus station is also not difficult, with a direct bus (no. 3) from the bus-stop up from the apartment. If you don't mind a walk, it is around 20 minutes by foot.||||There are also various bakeries, restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance of the apartment. ||||Travellers with more luggage may like to take note that there is quite a bit of stairs leading to the apartment though. Also, the thicker blankets in the cupboard didn't seem to be freshly cleaned, and I wasn't comfortable using them when it got cold in the night. But checks could be perhaps done with the host if you need...
Read moreWe had the most awful travel imaginable and we didnot arrive here till 1am local time and bless Katarina for waiting up to let us in and carry our luggage down all the stairs.||||Bianca is the most wonderful little jack Russel you could hope to meet, my partner isn't keen on dogs and he absolutely adored her.||||its located about 20 min walk from the old town and you can chose to walk the scenic route or via the main road. If you chose to follow the stairs down past the rooms there is a local supermarket right at the bottom very handy for some last minute beers. The little patio outside is wonderful for just sitting out on an evening and Katarina is sure to provide you with cushions for the seats at every opportunity. She even let us chill the bears in her fridge||||We stayed for 5 nights opting to switch over to Cavtat for the last 6 nights and Katarina's son actually arranged for taxi to get us there because we were having no luck. He spoke wonderful English and has the most...
Read moreWe arrived to the warmest of welcomes along with homemade lemonade and biscuits. Katarina and her family were so friendly and instantly made us feel at home. Nothing was too much for this lovely family despite them not speaking a lot of English. They gave us advice on the good beaches and quieter areas of Dubrovnik. The room was incredibly clean with lots of space, even with a table & chairs, wardrobe and tv. Beds were comfy and the air con was a dream! Katarina allowed us to use a fridge to keep food and drinks in and The patio area was lovely to sit in too. Katarinas son spoke more English and was very helpful and friendly. Bianca the dog was a huge highlight to the B&B, she was adorable! :) ||The B&B was in perfect location, being only a 20 minute walk from the Old city, but quiet at night. Across the road is a lovely pizzeria that also did wonderful breakfasts, and a supermarket! ||I would happily return here, it made our trip to Dubrovnik even more wonderful,...
