We stumbled upon this place the day before while walking around the city. We decided we had to come back for dinner because it looked like a cute place to go to. After looking at the reviews, we decided we better get there early as to avoid long wait. We got there at opening time and we were able to get a table for just two of us as we have read comments that you have to share tables if there are too many parties of two. On the upper part where we sat, there were 5-2 tops and 4-4 tops. What they end up doing is they fill the upper section? Everybody pretty much orders at the same time as the cook throws out briquettes on the barbecue and cooks up everybody’s entrée. I would say about a half hour later. They load up the lower section of only a few tables and repeat the process and then they start filling in tables as the night goes. Our server who just started working there this summer wasn’t overly friendly, but we ended up getting him to have a little conversation and he ended up being a pretty nice guy. I ordered the chicken dish while my wife ordered the Seabass. I noticed that they threw all the meat and fish on the grill at the same time and knowing how food cooks, I was concerned that some of the seafood would be overcooked. As our dishes arrived, my chicken was cooked a little bit over for my liking and the Seabass was definitely overcooked. The table next to us had some shrimp and there’s two was a bit overcooked as both fishes were thrown on the same time and knowing meat takes longer to cook than fish. We ended up having a lovely evening. The atmosphere was nice and for two entrées, two salads and a bottle of wine to get out of there for under €100 we felt was a pretty good deal. If you can get there early, I would suggest you give this place a try...

The terracotta rooftops of Dubrovnik sprawled out like a patchwork quilt, and the azure Adriatic Sea shimmered in the distance. It was a view that whispered secrets of ancient history and promised culinary delights. Warm Welcome and Impeccable Service The staff at Lady Pi-Pi greeted us with genuine warmth, as if welcoming old friends to their home. Despite the restaurant being busy, their attention to detail and swift service impressed me. We arrived after 2 and only waited ten min in queue to be seated , and while we waited, we sipped on refreshing drinks, soaking in the Mediterranean vibes. The Charcoal Grill Experience Lady Pi-Pi is renowned for its charcoal grill, and the anticipation was palpable. The grill was a masterpiece, adorned with tuna, sea bass, shrimp, squid, and a medley of vegetables. The scent of smoky goodness enveloped us, promising a feast fit for epicurean gods. A Symphony of Flavors The taste? Robust, bold, and utterly unforgettable. The sea bass stole the show, its tender flesh infused with garlic and grilled to perfection. Each succulent bite melted on the tongue, leaving behind a symphony of flavors. Verdict: Lady Pi-Pi Wins Hearts Lady Pi-Pi isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an experience. From the attentive service to the tantalizing grill, every detail is crafted with love. Euro55 for the seafood platter? Worth every cent. Read moreThis is the best restaurant I have been to in Dubrovnik!
You have to queue as they do not take reservations but it is well worth the wait. We queued for about 30 mins for a table of 2 at 8:45pm on a Saturday night.
One of the issues I’ve found generally with Dubrovnik is that food is very expensive and often very average. There are a lot of restaurants that are clearly taking advantage of the volume of tourists from cruise ships to hike the prices. This is NOT the case with Lady Pi Pi.
The food is absolutely delicious and really reasonably priced compared to other restaurants in the area. Also the menu offers some lovely alternatives to other restaurants in Dubrovnik which all seem to offer the same food.
We had water to drink with olives and bread to start. For main we had a mixed grill which was cooked on the outdoor BBQ and included local sausage, grilled pork, grilled chicken, cevapi, homemade fries, grilled vegetables and a red pepper sauce. The portion is really well considered and you get a nice portion of each meat without being overloaded. The chicken was my personal favourite but all of the meats were great. We also had some fresh mussels which came in a delicious tomato, garlic and parsley sauce and we ordered a side of homemade fries - I recommend getting some bread to dip in the sauce as well.
In total it came to €51 which is really reasonable considering we had grilled meats and seafood. We paid more for pizza and pasta at another restaurant earlier in our trip which puts the value of Pi Pi into perspective.
The staff were great and the atmosphere was also lovely.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a delicious meal and a menu...
