Having had some recommendations to come here, we decided to go to Lady Pi-Pi despite being unable to book and having read that wait times could be 30 minutes. In reality we were waiting 1 hour 15 minutes, and only finally got a table, if we agreed to share with another couple. This was disappointing as we’d been told, whilst queuing that we’d get a table for two. During the time we were queuing, we should have ‘read the warning signs’ with the demeanour and attitude of the “head waiter”, who had incorrectly told us we’d get a table for two. His attitude was poor and we found him very blunt and unfriendly.

Once seated, we waited 30 minutes for some bread, and as the restaurant emptied, I politely asked if we could move to our own table for two, before our main course, as a number of tables were now empty and they were not permitting any more diners. Eventually, after some negotiation, the couple sat with us were told they could move, but we could not as, according to the head waiter, we had “caused a problem”.

Eventually our food came, although we were last to be served despite being one of the first, of the remaining diners, to order. The food was good, but so massively let down by the worst customer service we’ve ever experienced in over 35 years of dining out.

When we left, I asked the head waiter for his name and me mumbled the word “tw*t”. Very, very rude and utterly unprofessional.

I recommend that you don’t go to Lady Pi-Pi, as there are - as we found out over the remainder of our time in Dubrovnik - a lot of excellent restaurants, with outstanding food and superb customer service.
