Heritage Hotel Dea Hvar — Hotel in Grad Hvar

I booked this room with my partner as a last minute switch-up to extend our trip to Hvar by another night.

You can reach the hotel in 2-3 minutes from the port. There are around 20-30 steps, however, so it’s worth keeping in mind if you have heavy luggage. The hotel offers luggage assistance if needed.

The location is very equitable for those looking to spend their time in Hvar’s town center. It’s a short walk to the Pjaca and the area is full of different food, coffee, and other shops.

We arrived at Heritage Hotel Dea Hvar early from our previous booking and several hours ahead of check-in. The staff was fully accommodating, allowing us to leave our bags safely secured in the lobby and enjoy the day at the beach.

Check-in is quick and clear. You will take a few steps to reach your room. The rooms are clean and cozy. The window provides an intimate view of nearby rooftops and a sliver of the Hvar Riva & marina water.

The bathroom was sleek and modern, and (most importantly) clean. The curtains are a bit wonky and hang a few inches from the window - easily rectified if you are someone who needs to sleep in total darkness.

There is a small sense the check-in desk is in earshot - worth noting if privacy in volume is a high priority for you. We felt entirely unaffected.

We were informed that a staff member is on duty at the check-in desk through the night. Our ferry to Split was at 7:50a and we had no issues checking out at 7a.

Unfortunately, we left without a chance to have breakfast. I can say that the breakfast area was cute and it looked delightful when we dropped our bags off the previous day.

Overall, the room was fantastic. We wished we had spent more time at this booking than our previous one. Great stay...

This is a four star hotel in the old town of Hvar but what makes it 5 star is the staff. Marin is so accommodating and helpful while Mate makes delicious breakfast dishes every morning. This hotel is accessed via stairs to reach the hotel and once inside the hotel. No elevator but you book this hotel for the location and the local flare. Don't worry about the stairs, Marin will help you with all your luggage. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Desk, tea/instant coffee in the room, international plugs provided, modern bathroom with robes in the closet. Closet space and a small fridge in the room. Outlets conveniently located near the bed and thru the room. Hair dryer and good quality toiletries provided. Free WIFI. Smaller than normal safety deposit box so that is the only improvement I suggest to the property. Breakfast available but that is the only meal served at this hotel. Head out for lunch and dinner to nearby restaurants, you didn't come to Hvar to hang out in your room. City map available at the front desk. Thank you Marin you...

We were met off the ferry from Split, to help with carrying luggage up the stairs to the hotel. Only 2 minutes from the ferry, but would need google maps to find it! This service was excellent. The receptionist was very efficient checking us in, and gave a great introduction to Hvar. ||The room was small, with a step up into the bathroom which was annoying and the noise from other rooms nearby, and from people coming up and down the stairs and corridor was off putting.||Breakfast was mixed. Fresh fruits etc was excellent, but the egg dishes were salty and “crunchy”. ||Checkout was easy and luggage delivery to ferry was very helpful.||Location is perfect for all activities in Hvar, being only a few minutes from the Cathedral, market square, fort, and ferries, as well as most restaurants. ||Difficult to give a mark with such a range of...
