HORRIBLE HOTEL!!! The front desk staff act as if you are bothering them. The room was clean but so outdated!!! No mini fridge, no safe, the TV was so small and only had 4 channels not the 12 listed. The bathroom shower head would not stay up so I used my luggage tag to keep it up. The air conditioner was a portable unit so a hole had to be cut in the window. Therefore you could not put Rollladens down to keep out sun. The window s are old and not sound proof. For 2 nights there was a music concert right outside of rooms. The noise reverberated in my room and shook the windows. Sleep was impossible until they stopped at 3:00 AM!!!! There is no ice machine or drink machines. No room service. The breakfast was mediocre. Location?? Really. It’s at end of Riva and all you see when you look out is cruise ships docked. If you have camping supplies then this might be the hotel for you.||It is sad that after all the super things I did in Split that I could not come to a place to rest and refresh. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE MY MISTAKE!!!!||You can find something else nicer.||||PS. I got a response from the property: " Respected guest;||if it was so horrible why didnt you leave 1st night but you have stayed all 3 nights? Also we have explain that noise wasnt from hotel but from outside. We have also called police but they didn`t want to come. We have done everything that we could and on the end gave you discount of 20% for 2 nights. But you have forgot to mentioned that in your comments. REALLY?? Rebook hotels during high season? The first night was not bad and I could deal with the oldness and lack of amenities. After the second night, I tried to find a place, but could not check out by 11:00 as I had tour planned and not much was available unless you wanted to spend a fortune. Yes I 20% off, but that did nothing for my stress levels. So please, please do your self a favor and find...
Read moreAs the owner of a tour company, I travel a great deal. This does not meet my standards of a 3 star hotel. ||The location is excellent in relation to reaching the sights. But be aware there is street noise, mostly hot motorbikes revving up and down all night long. There are double windows but ours could not be closed due to the funky set up of the portable A/C unit. That unit is loud but it is effective. ||The carpet in our room was not one I wanted to walk on in bare feet. It looked gross with spots. ||The breakfast was horrible with eggs that were overdone, the juice watered down and a charge for decaf coffee. I have never heard of that. ||There is no fridge or mini bar to use as a fridge in the room and no electric kettle or coffee maker. There is also no safe to store valuables in the room. ||Our room is a triple and there is adequate space for our bags. There is a hole in the bedsheet. The bedding may be typical to the area ( I do not know) but it is unusual with just a folded sheet at the end of the bed and blankets in the closet. So you sort of make your own bed. This is not a hostel but seems like one. ||There are fake flowers in a vase and some interesting art in the public areas. ||The TV is very small and has no news channel in English. When I asked at reception regarding a news channel the response was that she does not know what channels they have and it may be different in each room. There is very little information in the hotel info folder - no restaurant recommendations, TV channel listings etc||The first night when there was a wet patch on the bed, the reception was very helpful and accommodating with a solution. ||The rooms overlooking the square have a different feel than our room, with beautiful views of the water and activity in the square. That does mean party noise until late but the light and view...
Read moreThe location could not get any better unfortunately that’s where the positives end. The hotel is located on the harbour front with everything on your door step.||The man at reception upon check in wasn’t very friendly; just blunt with his directions. The man who checked us out; came out wiping the sleep out of his eyes and yawning, with his shirt half untucked. We’d obviously woken him up on his night shift!||There is NO air conditioning! There are electric fans in the hallways and they have portable AC units in your room; which they request you don’t turn below 22 degrees Celsius. We had ours on 15c! The room off the main room I slept in was so warm at night. If I wasn’t sleeping I couldn’t stay in my room; I had to sit in the main room on a chair. It was stifling in there.||The beds weren’t comfortable, they only have a sheet to cover you at night. But you wouldn’t need a blanket with how hot it is. ||Bathroom shower head is supposed to move up and down. But it slides back down and faces the tiles; we didn’t even attempt to wash our hair. The toilet has a pull chain to flush, it was so funny trying to work out how to flush the first time. ||Breakfast was included; basic continental breakfast. Which we ate outside on the patio.||They are sitting on a million dollar property here. Renovate it and make a killing! The...
