I would like to use this opportunity to thank this establishment and it’s staff for a relaxing experience that went above all of my expectations. I came to understand how the symbiosis of rich ancient history and professional hospitality can be offered at a rather affordable rate. My entire experience was meritorious. The entire property was “packed” with amiableness that was properly channeled by exceptional communication from the wonderful GM Nevena all the way to the concierge Branimir and other staff that was adequately trained to present this property and its “theme” pleasantly. The service/product vs. price ratio is adequately placed which adds additional value to you experience at Santa Lucia. It seems they took it up a notch whent it comes to interior design. Unlike a rather vast amount of over decorated Croatian properties that seek to replace the lack of service and educated staff with grotesque and rather bizarre design and service element set up the Santa Lucia property allowed its rich history to be the chaperone when it comes to set up. Two thousand year old (wow) interior parts are gently complimented by the yellow broom flowers that add a fresh natural scent and yet represent the Dalmatian capital while the terracotta tiles are emphasizing the importance of Roman present many centuries ago. The menus are adequately set and well balanced while taking into consideration the rich culinary history, the current season and calorie intake based on the temperature outside and your never-ending need of continues exploration while keeping it up to speed with international trends. The rooms are comfortable, convenient and user friendly. Overall it seems properly placed while keeping the sequences of service in mind. As a final remark I would add how the design if of little importance without the ambiance spirit that is always created and fabricated by smiles, professionalism and courtesy of the staff members, and this is where Santa Lucia excels. All this for a fair price in the very heart of this sensational city. Although Croatia has much to learn when it comes to leading the hospitality industry with innovation and approach the Santa Lucia heritage hotel is a fine example how this young and beautiful country is moving in the right...
Read moreWe had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Our room was spacious and overlooked the lively square -a beautiful view to wake up to! The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, which made our stay even more relaxing.
Breakfast was of great quality, with a nice variety to start the day right. But what truly made our experience exceptional was the staff. Everyone was extremely polite and helpful throughout our stay.
A special shoutout to Drago at the reception - he went above and beyond! We were already on our way to the airport when he called to let us know we had forgotten our notebook charger. Since the old town isn’t reachable by car, he waited for us at Riva on a very windy day (bura), just to hand it over. That kind of service is rare and truly appreciated.
Thank you, Drago, and the entire team at Santa Lucia! Highly...
Read moreWhat a wonderful hotel! My partner and I recently stayed here for 5 nights and were very impressed with everything. Our room was immaculately clean. There was a buffet breakfast which enabled me to select food that's suitable for my gluten free and vegetarian diet. The staff were extremely helpful. We loved the location which was central and convenient for everything, and in the historic area which was full of character. We were also close to the ferry port which made it easy for us to get a ferry over to Hvar. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel. Note to travellers, this historic area is pedestrianised so you won't be able to get a vehicle to drop you off outside the hotel. We used the shuttle bus to and from the airport, which was cheap and stopped approximately 10 minutes walk away...
