Hotel Adriana Split — Hotel in Grad Split

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!! This is not a 4 star hotel, try 2. By far the worst hotel experience of my LIFE & I travel A LOT! The rooms are outdated and disgusting. You can’t even find a plug to charge your phone. Staff is hard to get a hold of and the hotel smells. Our original room was filthy, the carpet was stained and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months, the bathroom looked like it had been used prior and the bed looked like it was slept it. We complained to front desk and they gave us the room next door, not the cleanest but a little bit better. It still has carpet stains but the bathrooms are a bit better. This already left a bad taste in our mouth. The next day my friend and I decided to spend the day at the beach, we were so excited to get back to our room and shower, only to come back to a messy room still. They did not clean our room or give us new towels. We tried to call front desk and the line was busy for 20 minutes, we then got through and explained, the girl was no help and just gave us a few towels. We are now in the process of trying to get some money back as this hotel is not cheap and completely leave and get a new hotel. We have 3 more nights here and no way staying in this disgusting hotel. Left a bad taste in our mouth and don’t even want to stay in Split anymore. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!! So many more affordable and CLEANER ROOMS down the street! One of the hotel employees told us he wouldn’t even stay here. The halls of the rooms are automatic and turn off after 10 seconds, gets pretty scary and smells like mold. It's sometimes said that "never eat at the main street restaurants" in touristy places. ||With Hotel Adriana that is so true. We had our worst dining experience for a long time and we do travel a lot. Our waiter was the aggressive type and gave us the wrong starter, a fish platter instead of mixed meat and cheese. |We tried for some time to get his attention without luck, so we gave up and decided to eat what we could of this starter. That turned out to be almost nothing, as it was not delicious or what we liked. |The waiter apologized when he came and offered to bring the correct starter. We declined as quite a long time had passed and we were expecting our main course. The main course came and in one word it was terrible. Overcooked and really bad so we only ate a few bites and by the way this was our most expensive meal in Croatia.|However we had good wine and in spite of this we were in a good mood and decided to tip the waiter and I had the money ready. When we got the bill from the aggressive and arrogant waiter which at that point he demanded 15% tip. That made me angry and I decided not to give the tip because of him demanding it and his arrogance.|In short it ended with the waiter blocking me at the table so I could not walk away after I had paid the bill of almost 200 Euro. My wife was calling to me to just pay this 20 euro tip and go away which I did and I still regret it.|This was our worst food and service experience we have had for a very long time and I feel obliged to inform other people about this...

We ordered 3 mohitos, 1 Coca cola zero and 1 cucumber gin tonic, this was after we waited 15-20 min without service. When the drinks finally arrived the Coca cola zero was a Coca cola (did say zero atleast 3 times when we ordered), the cucumber gin tonic was a gin tonic with cucumber syrup in it... I asked where the cucumber was and was explained that they were out of pickles... so basically a gin tonic with sugar in it is what I got, needless to say absolutely horrifying! Now comes the mohitos... some sort of alcohol in it ( probably vodka), 1 wedge of lime , 3 icecubes and then hard grained sugar in a thick layer at the bottom. The whole thing was filled with water without gas and contained maybe 5 leaves of brownish mint... it tasted of nothing but water and sugar, and the first of us to taste it bursted out in disgust! So basically all we got was very bad, like the worst way it could be. THEN comes the best part!!! We complained about the lack of quality (Even recemblance!!), and the response was "we cannot provide the quality so late in the evening (midnight, not crowded at all), if you want good drinks you should come at 5 pm."

Now I could also go on and tell you about how the server was in doubt if they had cranberry juice even though I explained he had to have it since he had cosmopolitan in the menu and also about the unavailable drinks in the menu or the horrible other compositions consisting of various spirits and syrups but instead I'll summarize:
