On our weekend getaway I found this restaurant and we decided to go, because of the location and the reviews that I have read. Unfortunately I cant agree with comments about the food. For the first course we ordered plate of cheeses and meats and octopus salad. So cold starters. We got the plate and the MAIN dish octupus with potato. Some of us wanted to order this main dish afterwards But then of course we didnt because we got it for the starter. But ok, we didnt complicate. One lady accepted and welcomed us very nicely, the waiter was also nice, a little bit clumpsy with my cocktail But ok, still they were nice. If I go back to food. The plate was nice, nice cheeses and nice meats, also the pickled onions was great. The octopus was really nice, not chewy, However the seasoning was bad, or there wasnt any. Without a taste. Later on my friends got some pasta and gnocchi and steak and grilled squids. I orderder tuna steak with potato salad. I was really disappointed. I tried to not complicate and eat somehow just a half of it, But I really struggled and left it. We all saw when dishes arrived the tuna was not the right colour, it was more greyish outside and the raw part inside was not pinkish red as it should be. It was more grey than pink. But still I didnt want to bother and try to eat some of it. And also it was cold cold, so With every bite I felt sick to my stomach. I like everything raw, from fish to meat. I enjoy raw fish dishes and sea shells every kind of it. I all the time eat sashimi, But this was not fresh and it was not ok to sell. So yeah when the waiter came to pick the plates, he asked me how it was, I explained him and that was it. Not even sorry from the kitchen or maybe some discount or some complimentary dessert or something something. Also the tuna was too much smoked, But not too much in a good way, But in a bad way. I could also tell it was grilled with steak on the same plate, i could taste it. It was like eating meat, bad fish and charcoal. Also the steak from my friend was too much with the taste of charcoal. Like too much not like sunday picnics. Espresso martini also should be different. The colour and the taste didnt match the real espresso martini. So here is a lot of space for improvement. Read moreThe restaurant itself is cosy, but most of the tables are outside on Square Republike, which is a bit boring. When we arrived at the resurant and we were assigned to a table, we had to ask a waiter/waitress, after 20 minutes, if we could drink something. Less than half the tables were occupied, so it was no rush hour. NOT GOOD! Beer and wine are expensive: 7 euro per glass (2 euro less 6 weeks ago). Local Pelinkovac is only 4 euro. As a starter, we ordered Fish Mama's Plate, which was good. As a main dish we ordered "Adriatic Shrimps" (Dalmatian Buzara sauces with baking potatoes allo Peka). These are not shrimps/gamba's, but mini crayfish. The quantity of the lobstermeat is so little that out of 8 mini crayfish, you probably have 2 table spoons of crayfish/lobster-meat. Besides the quantity, it was served without potatoes and no vegetables. ADDITIONAL SIDE DISHES ARE EASY MONEY! Our 2nd main dish was "Seabass filet" with spinach, which was good. When we emptied our glass, no one asked us, in 1.5 hour, if we wanted another drink. AGAIN NOT GOOD, DRINKS ARE EASY MONEY! I also noticed that 1 waiter were continuously smoking and busy on his mobile phone.
My conclusion and tips: Disappointing and poor value for your money. If a main dish does not have potatoes or vegetables, the waiter/waitress should raise this to the customer. If the glass is empty, the waiter/waitress should ask the customer if he/she wants another drink. A waiter/waitress should frequently ask if everything is to your liking, etc. A waiter/waitress should never smoke or check his mobile when he is at work and...

We ordered the Fish Mama's sharing plate for two. The bass was cooked perfectly, the tuna was slightly over cooked. The prawns and mussels were dry and hugely over cooked. But less about the average food.
A party of five young men had reserved a table next to us. One of the young men had far, far too much to drink. Most restaurants would have turned him away, not Fish Mama - money is clearly king. The drunk young man fell asleep at the table, after some time he woke up and decided that the step next to where we were sat would be a good place to empty his booze filled stomach.
We were revolted by this, the smell alone was enough to put everyone off their food. Fat Mama's staff response was to offer to move our table. The desire to eat had completely left us at this stage.
We were charged full price despite leaving a good portion of our meal. The staff attempted an apology, but I explained that he should have been turned away at the door as he was clearly hammered at that stage. €100 for half a meal for two - not good enough 1/10
Edit: After the response from the owner, I would like to edit my review - the owners offered me a refund or a free meal. Our holiday was coming to an end and we already had our evenings planned elsewhere. I met Stoni (sp?) the manager who could not have been more apologetic for the experience we had.
