Gustoso Restaurant — Restaurant in Paphos Municipality

Our recent visit to Giusto restaurant left us underwhelmed, as the food failed to live up to our expectations. While the ambience was pleasant and the prices were reasonable, the quality of the dishes fell short compared to other dining options in Paphos.

We opted for the vegetable massouka and the swordfish steak, hoping for a flavorful and satisfying meal. However, both dishes turned out to be disappointing. The main issue we encountered was the excessive amount of salt used in the preparation of both dishes. The overpowering saltiness hindered our ability to truly appreciate the flavours of the ingredients and overshadow any potential enjoyment.

Furthermore, while the vegetables in the massouka had potential, they lacked proper seasoning. The absence of well-balanced seasoning resulted in a lacklustre taste profile, leaving the dish bland and uninspiring.

On a positive note, the restaurant boasted a nice ambience that added to the overall dining experience. The atmosphere was inviting and comfortable, creating a pleasant setting to enjoy a meal. Additionally, we found the prices at Giusto restaurant to be reasonable, offering good value for money. We also received complimentary garlic bread with was nice.

However, despite the appealing ambience and fair pricing, the lack of taste and excessive salt in the dishes significantly impacted our overall satisfaction. When compared to other dining establishments in Paphos, Giusto restaurant unfortunately fell short in terms of delivering a memorable and flavorful...

The place was absolutely disorganised. About 3-4 different waiters attended to our table through out our 45 mins dinner. Many mistakes were done, we waited extremely long for the food...altough it was only 6pm and there was only other 6 tables with guests We had soup each and they were waterly in my opinion. My dish lasagne had very tiny bit of meat in center of the pot and otherwise just a ton of bechamel I didn't like it and felt very heavy. Nice small salad came with it but that is the only upside. My friend had beef kebab and he was satisfied. Another friend had mussels in cream sauce and said the rice was too mushy. Another friend had pasta and it was lacking flavour. Despite the food not being the best, restaurant looks nice from outside, however the staff is really bringing this down. I was shocked by the service they are not paying attention. Mistake on bill, no apologize, after taking order waiter came back to ask 3 questions as he forgot what we ordered. And when we asked for bill. The person went to do something else, and did not come back to us with card reader, we had to remind her we want to pay. Its no excuse that they were busy ad they were so many waiters. Visited with my husband, we were seated in a really noisy place, asked to move to somewhere quieter but the waitress just stared at us as if she didn't know what we meant. Then found ourselves constantly having to repeat our orders and requests to the staff. They seemed to have amnesia of simply didn't care to prioritise what their diners were asking. We asked what stock the soups were made out of, had to ask a second waitress. We also asked for the mains to be served asap, as I didn't order a starter and was starving. They didn't bring out my main until everyone else on the table had finished the starters. Twice they brought us other table's orders, once was a steak (we are vegetarian!). Then we asked for take out boxes which didn't arrive so we had to ask again. On speaking with the manager, she didn't seem to have much to say, and was unwilling to refund us for a portion of the meal. To top it off, the take out boxes were so flimsy, they leaked and ripped through the paper bag all over my clothes. Oh and the food was bland (arrabbiata and soup) and not authentic Italian at all.

All in all, nothing decent about this place at all. Spend your money anywhere...
