Hotel Lux — Hotel in okres České Budějovice

I had a long stay at Lux (10 days) and it was so good! The atmosphere was peaceful, quiet, and pleasant. It was high summer, and the room was very open and well-ventilated, with a nice view of the canal in front of the hotel.

The hotel's location is great—more or less a 10-minute walk to the city—but still quiet enough for resting and working.

Overall, the stay was so confortable! My room was huge, big windows, everything worked perfectly. The whole atmosphere was very calming

The staff deserves a high, since I have tons of allergies and the host did her best to have breakfast prepared every morning. Besides, I forgot my belongings and they prepared for the pick up and everything came back to me. I don't speak Czech at all and still they were very helpful and flexible.

First impression, if arriving self drive, is that the hotel is 'out of town'. In reality it is just a short walk to the centre of the old town. Reception was friendly and efficient, our room was clean, spacious and pleasant. Parking at the hotel was secure, the supplied key fob operating the electronic gate (with the quality of beer available locally leaving the car parked is recommended). Breakfast was substantial and good quality but no other meals were available at the time of our stay. Wir hatten dort für 10 Tage gebucht. Vorab: Das Hotel ist nicht Barrierefrei und wer Probleme mit dem Treppensteigen hat, sollte auch nicht buchen. Die Zimmer sind groß, die Ausstattung in die Jahre gekommen. Damit geht es schon los. In der Dusche ist der Grad am Hahn zwischen sehr heiß und sehr kalt Millimeterarbeit. Wenn irgendwo anders das Wasser angedreht wird, lässt der Druck sofort nach, bis dahin, dass kurzzeitig kein Wasser kommt. Die Matratzen sind dünn, darunter nur ein Brett. Die Kissen sind groß und waren nichts für meinen Nacken. Das Frühstück ist recht eintönig. Es gibt pro Person einen vorbereiteten Teller mit Käse und Aufschnitt. Wechselweise gab es Omelett, Rührei, gekochte Eier, Spiegeleier. Der größte Kritikpunkt ist jedoch die mangelnde Sauberkeit. In 7 Nächten wurde 2 x die Betten gemacht, der Mülleimer geleert und Handtücher getauscht, inklusive Auffüllen des Toilettenpapieres. Es wurde weder gesaugt, noch das Badezimmer gesäubert. Nicht das Waschbecken, nicht die Toilette, nicht die Dusche. Wie das nach 7 Nächten aussieht, wenn 2 Personen das Bad benutzen, kann sich jeder ausmalen. Wir sind nach 7 Tage abgereist, was hauptsächlich am Wetter lag, aber auch am Service im Hotel. Die Lage des Hotels ist gut, 10 - 15 Minuten zu Fuß von der Altstadt entfernt und direkt an der Moldau. Die Lautstärke durch den Verkehr ist akzeptabel. Fazit: Für ein bis zwei Nächte okay, aber nicht für einen längeren...
