Customer service needs some attention. This is normally a great place to eat, the food and staff are usually lovely and I say this from the perspective of a foreigner now living in the Czech Republic. However, a female staff member was incredibly rude and confrontational today after I sat down on establishment seating outside. She was furious that I sat there, despite there being no signage or indication that the ‘normal’ seating was out of bounds… today. As I am no stranger to accidentally sitting in the wrong place, I completely understand that it must be frustrating for staff, but regardless, there is never justification for having to endure being spoken to the way I was. It was embarrassing for me and, from gauging the other customers faces, embarrassing for the staff member and establishment. I clearly didn’t stay there to eat and certainly won’t be eating there again - although I hope she was just having a bad day, I wouldn’t recommend going there unless you’re prepared to be...

During a rainy day we decided to get dinner in this restaurant. The food was delicious and the beginning the service seemed nice. Suddenly a waiter comes and asks to the all restaurant to leave because they had some problem in the kitchen. Without even finishing our food we were forced to go and pay (without even getting a discount).

Outside there was a big storm so all the people were waiting at the entrance the rain to calm down. The waiter, in a very rude way kicked us all out because they wanted to close the restaurant (20.30pm on Saturday night).

I understand that they had some problem but they just passed it to the clients of the restaurant and...

A clear five stars for an excellent new and emerging restaurant in a beautiful setting. Both interior and exterior are fantastic. Outdoor sitting in the monumental plaza is beautiful. The interiors of the old salt trading office building have been beautifully restored and converted into a chic and fancy micro-brewery. Talking about that, of course they brew their own beer. No commercial beer but five homemade tap varieties. The food was awesome - literally anything we tried. And getting good food in this part of Czechia is not easy. The beef tartare as well as chicken liver pâté were fantastic, and so were the...

This place is an absolute cracker! Located in an 16th century building that has been tastefully reconstructed. Fabulous, knowledgeable and funny staff that actually pays attention to guests. Delicious beers (from my perspective, the 12° is really good and high bitterness suits it well, 11° is a lighter beer if you just want to have a chill). Design of the place is awesome, combining metal, wood, leather, porcelain and glass is not easy and here they brought it to perfection - heavily recommended! Prices around the level you get in Prague, but quality is definitely present.

Best beer in town! Super nice restaurant with a cosy atmosphere, during the weekend make sure to have a reservation (for dinner at least) as it can get pretty busy. Other than that, the service was extremely good - we asked if we could get two beer jugs as a souvenir and they also cared to pack them nicely :) As said, the beer is amazing. Solnice 11 is a mild lager beer, and Solnice 10 is a dark, light beer with an aftertaste that reminded me of liquorice. Highly recommended! Food is also delicious, I suggest the goulash. Looking forward to coming back sooner or later :)

We decided to stop by České Budějovice on our way from Vienna to Linz and we stumbled upon this absolute gem of a restaurant! The food was amazing and their home brewed beer was some of the best I had on my trip! All the food felt very homey and tasted very fresh. They even had different menus for different days! The staff were very nice and accommodating considering we were foreigners that did not plan to visit Czechia at all and they still managed to guide us through the menus and payment options relatively smoothly.
