Me and my wife booked the "best room in the hotel" including a "romantic weekend package" which all in all cost 500 Euro for 3 nights stay.||||First of all the romantic dinner was a flop, there was nothing romantic with it||- The romantic dinner did not take place in the hotel restaurant as promised but in a nearby pizzeria (although we were asked via email, at which time we would like to have the dinner, so that there will be a cook available) – obviously this was just a fake||- The Atmosphere of the Romantic Dinner was not romantic at all, we were sitting in plastic chairs, it was more like a cafeteria, nothing romantic, no candles, no flowers – just an ordinary meal||- Whats more, we could not choose about our meal, we had to take what came (and we did not like the choice as well)||- The most embarrassing thing was that there were no drinks included – NO DRINKS at a romantic dinner, I mean whats wrong with them guys?||||Then the room (remember "best room of the hotel")||- To be fair, the room was quite large and had enough space and technical gimmickry (like flatscreen in the bathroom, spacy lights, electrical window shades)||- But it was not really clean (an example of this you can see on the attached photo of the toilet seat) – this was really disgusting||- The room is on the third floor, without an elevator and no room service to bring up the luggage||- The blankets were moist||- The mattress was really saggy||- The shower did not work properly (just a pour stream coming out of the showerhead, warm and cold was changing abruptly, not really comfortable)||- The door between the bedroom and the living room could not be closed (it seems like someone screwed it to the floor)||- Some screws were looking out of the wall (see photo)||- But the most horrible thing was the smell of the bathtub: if you tried to draw a bath it smelled like a sewer tunnel and you could not get rid of that smell (not even opening the windows)||- So all in all the room was ok, but by far not worth the money we paid for it (if this is the best room you have, I will not have to see the poorer ones)||||Additional Service (included with the romantic package we have booked)||- The promised bottle of champagne on our room was just prosecco and only then delivered, when we claimed it at the reception||- The promised wellness package did simply not exist||- And then the breakfast: the bread was hard, the cheese had melted and the eggs were cold.||- Whats more, no one informed us that the breakfast on Monday ended already at 10pm (not 11pm like the days before), we showed up 10 minutes past 10 and no one cared – it was just “oh well that’s your problem”, which inspired me to use this as the title...
Read moreI stayed here for a brief trip recently and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. My room was attractively decorated and had an immense bathroom. To my complete surprise and delight, they actually provide packets of lemon juice for tea! I certainly enjoyed taking advantage of that. I see earlier reviews point out a lack of refrigerators, but there definitely was a refrigerator in my room. ||||All the staff was very friendly and helpful (I imagine that was at least partly because they were Pilseners and not Praguers!). The hotel takes pride in homemade desserts and other specialties. I only ate breakfast there (no complaint about that), but the displays of these specialties certainly made them look delicious.||||I had no need of parking, but there is a spacious gated parking lot. All of the landmarks of Pilsen's historic city center are within reasonable walking distance of this hotel. The only thing that does need to be emphasized in case it is a problem for certain travelers is that there is no elevator available. That wasn't a problem for me, but it could be for others. The reasonable pricing must be pointed out as an incentive to...
