Walking around Prague, my soul slowly leaving my body after a weekend heavier than a shop lifters jumper we spotted ‘the Indian kitchen by R&R’
Now this gaff looked the business… decor was lovely and we were greeted by the host with enthusiasm.
However… the onto the food.
The popadom’s were ok, The mint dip was nuclear… it was so green man it looked like Kermit had finished himself off in the ramakin!!
The starter… I wanted bhajis but was convinced to order the Kebab. The worst advice ever taken since Diana’s cheuffer said ‘naaah leave the seat belt off it’ll crease your dress cocka’
For My main I wanted jalefrezi… however again I was advised that the rogan Josh was best.
2 pieces of advice… don’t trust an owner recommending dishes to eat and don’t trust a fart after 11 pints.
The jalfrezi was bizarre. Brown, brown very very brown. The meat tasted like brown almost brown in texture and had aroma of brown. Just so so brown.
In the words of Ian Brown, ‘Brown Brown you bring me Brown’
I couldn’t eat it… so I filled myself up on the crisp naan bread who I can only compare the texture of being crisper than a brown brown autumn leaf.
All in all… you are like a man with a 2 inch tail… trying as hard as you can but ultimately you just aren’t hitting the spot.
Love and best wishes

Read moreWe recently visited this Indian restaurant near Prague Old Town for lunch, and it turned out to be a wonderful surprise. Having had a disappointing dinner at another Indian place the night before, we weren’t sure what to expect, but this restaurant exceeded our expectations with both food quality and hospitality.
For starters, we ordered Chicken Tandoori and Masala Papad. The tandoori chicken was perfectly cooked with just the right marination and spices, while the masala papad was served thoughtfully with chutney and toppings on the side to avoid sogginess.
For mains, we had Lamb Rogan Josh and Chicken Lababdar. The lamb was tender, flavorful, and clearly of good quality. The Chicken Lababdar, made with a tomato-cashew gravy, was decent, though we felt some of their other chicken dishes might have been a better choice. We paired these with garlic and butter naan, both soft, fresh, and generously portioned—one naan was enough for one person.
Beyond the food, what stood out was the warmth of the staff. They were friendly, attentive, and happy to explain the dishes and the restaurant’s story.
Overall, it was an excellent dining experience, and I’d happily recommend this place to anyone craving authentic Indian...
