Our room looked like a coffin for the vampire. I was checking the photos of the rooms online and on the base of that I have decided to make a booking. The room what we received was very dark, with only 1 roof, small window, covered with a shade which was not possible to roll up because window was too high. The furniture looked like from the house of my grandmother, very old with bad smell and carpet looked like you won't step on it without shoes... We booked double bed room but received triple room. When I checked TV channels and trying to find any Czech speaking channel, I did not find any, not even English speaking. There was 31 channels and when I was about to call reception to ask about channels, I found out that room does have even phone. I found mobile phone number on the website but noone was picking... I went personally down to the reception (where only Ukraine receptionist working) and I was asking about Czech speaking channels and Ukraine girl told me that those channels are on the channel number 40 and than above channel 50, 51, 52, 53, 54... I told her, that our TV has only 31 channels so there is no option for us to find those mentioned channels... She said to come back to the reception in the morning and complain about that. I was asking if the place where we stayed is even hotel and if yes, how many stars this place has... She was very nervous and spoken broken Czech language so I have decided to leave it and just be silently disappointed. The room was full of ants and some other insects. More than that. The location of the "hotel" is very convenient, next to Wenceslas square, Muzeum and metro station. We were accommodated in 5 floor but with room facing the most busy road in the city center so we got very disturbed sleep. The rooms around us were full of teenagers who were drunk and yelling till very late hours. Advantages of the accommodation are: * very good location * nice personal (even the receptionist with broken Czech) * beautiful rooftop with view over all Prague and welcome drinks (Proseco) * complimentary red wine in the room * small fridge (but no kettle to prepare hot drinks) * cleanness of the room was ok

PROs: Hotel is situated some 5-6 min walk away from Wenceslas Statue right opposite the Prague National Museum on a steep incline. The building is quiet old, being so close to the Wenceslas Square and heritage area. Though the hotel is maintained to a good reasonable standard within the confines of obvious architectural limitations. Staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. I was initially given a very small room despite my booking being of the larger room with a sitting table (since i had to work). I got pretty annoyed but to staff's credit, they took my complain seriously and shifted me next morning to the larger room with a due apology. So full marks to the staff for their cooperative attitude. They also handed me a discount voucher for a future stay in any of the Czech-Inn hotels upon check-out which was very gracious of them. Elevators don't go on every floor due to the building being very old so be prepared to drag your luggage over the stairs at check-in. Room though was very spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable and washroom had hot water running. I also had a decent view from my room window which was an extra plus. Wifi could have been faster though (i was coming from Vienna where wifi was always super fast). Muzeum Metro Station is just a short walk away with both A and C Metro Lines intersecting at the station. The Main Prague Train Station is a 10-15 min walk away. There is a nice traditional Czech restaurant in the basement next to the hotel entrance called "Husinec". It serves great Beef Goulash and Svíčková along with delicious draft beer and is well rated on google maps as well. Hotel has a very rice roof terrace with excellent views of Prague. You get a complimentary drink on the roof as well.

CONs:

  1. Hotel is located on a steep incline coming from the side of Wenceslas Statue. So if you are walking from the Train Station to the hotel with luggage, dragging those bags up the hill can be very tiresome indeed. So people with breathing and mobility issues need to keep this in mind. Maybe take a cab or Uber to come to the hotel the first time when you have the luggage with you, even if you are coming via train and despite train station being walking distance away. Also, if you had a drinking party at night with your mates, going back up the hill to the hotel can prove to be challenging in an intoxicated state.
  2. Also, I feel its the wrong side of Wenceslas Square to be at. The square itself is nearly 720 meters long stretching from the National Museum at one end to the Mustek Station at the other end. The end of the square where Mustek is situated is closer to the Old Town Square, the Powder Gate and Charles Bridge, so i personally felt that hotel location is not the most ideal. Since you have to walk the entire length of the square each time you want to go to the main attractions.
  3. No laundry service available at the site despite the service being listed.
  4. At night, you will find loads of shady characters roaming around the Muzeum Metro Station with the smell of weed everywhere. So keep your eyes open and keep your distance. Avoid getting into vulnerable situations like getting cash out of the ATM there, specially...

I found the hotel staff to be generally ineffective and unresponsive {after checking inn}. |2. Lift usually does not work as understood during our sojourn, only if you are lucky. |3. If your room is allocated at the top floor, it will be a concern.|4. Dilapidated condition of the Hotel is indication of health hazard. If you are aged, re-consider your stay at this Hotel. |5. Ensure your have enough strength to carry the luggage as the stairs are quite steep and no help will be provided by the hotel staff stating that either "it is not our job" or "too busy at reception". |6. There is no standard SOP about the health issues of the guests. |7. Staff does not have adequate “male” personnel for heavy lifting. |8. Pick up and Drop off at Airport service unreliable. If you do so, at your own risk.|9. Most distressing, however, was the presence of discriminatory and racially biased behavior from some staff members. |10. Such behavior is unacceptable and profoundly damaging to the Country’s integrity.|11. If such information about non-functioning of the Lift on repeated and frequent basis was clearly mentioned in the advertisement of the Hotel, I, as a consumer could have made a more informed choice otherwise. |12. However, due to information about the service provided by the Hotel being a Four-Star accredited Hotel and by concealing the dilapidated status of the Lift’s information, it affected my decision as a consumer. |13. Had I been aware of such non-functioning status of the Lift, I could have taken another hotel with better and more efficient facilities than to stay at this Hotel. |14. Thus, I, as the consumer purchased the product and service, namely, the accommodation at the Hotel and other services, which I would note have otherwise opted for if I had this information of breakdown of the Lift during our limited two-night stay [thus, limited hours] since time was of the essence for us as tourists. |15. Further, the management deliberately only keep “female” employees so that they can create a situation where no guest could ask to carry the luggage to young woman owing to moral principles rather than an act of non-professionalism. |16. This partiality not only fostered an unprofessional environment but also contributed to visible discomfort among both employees and guests, reflecting a lack of managerial oversight.|17. Further, the hotel staff also refused to assist with the Taxi for drop at the airport as well which amounts to immense hostility. |18. Thus, we were constrained to book an Uber taxi to the airport and dragged their luggage to the Taxi themselves despite having as assurance in writing that airport taxi will be provided...

In July, as a busy businessman, I had the privilege of staying at a remarkable hotel that truly stood out in every aspect. This hotel's strategic location in the heart of the city made it an ideal choice for my business trip, and the exceptional service provided by their receptionist, Anastasia, added an extra layer of warmth and professionalism to my stay.

First and foremost, the hotel's central location was a game-changer for me. With my business meetings and appointments scattered throughout the city, having a hotel right in the center made navigating the urban landscape effortless. I could easily walk to many of my destinations, saving valuable time and minimizing the usual hassles of commuting.

Anastasia, the hotel's receptionist, deserves special recognition for her outstanding service. From the moment I checked in, her welcoming smile and efficient handling of the check-in process set a positive tone for my stay. Throughout my visit, Anastasia was consistently available to assist with any inquiries or requests I had, always with a level of professionalism that left a lasting impression.

The hotel itself offered a harmonious blend of comfort and functionality, perfect for a business traveler like me. My room was impeccably clean, well-furnished, and designed to cater to the needs of someone on a business trip. The comfortable work desk, high-speed internet, and a cozy bed provided a conducive environment for both work and relaxation.

Each morning, I started my day with a delightful breakfast at the hotel's restaurant. The variety of options ensured that there was something for every taste, and it was a fantastic way to fuel up before a busy day.

As I reflect on my stay in July, I can't help but feel grateful for the exceptional experience I had at this hotel. Its central location, combined with Anastasia's unwavering dedication to guest satisfaction, made it an outstanding choice for my business trip. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a seamless and enjoyable stay in the city center. It's a place where convenience meets comfort, and where the attentive staff, including Anastasia, go above and beyond to ensure your stay is nothing short of...
