Please don't stay with these crooks. [Response: This is a review of the organisation that runs these apartments. I stayed at one of their other apartments, Apartment Continents, which it isn't possible to review because it doesn't have an entry on Google Maps.] It's an unstaffed grotty hostel, which features the tiniest rooms it is possible to imagine, which charges 4-star hotel prices by a process of remarkably effective deception. They will say "your apartment is ready" (you haven't rented an apartment) and "your room features a washing machine" (it doesn't) alongside pictures of spacious areas to try and give the impression that you're getting something far more than you are. Why, oh why, oh why, would anyone pay the same price that you could get a quality hotel in the centre of Prague, for a tiny room in a dosshouse hostel which features bathrooms so comically small that nobody can actually sit straight on the toilet (the wall is so close you have to sit sideways), or brush their teeth (the sink is so small), with beds that anyone above average size would not be able to sleep in. I have been asking myself this question endlessly since I was stupid enough to book this place from the crooks, liars and cheats who run it, before leaving after the first night of three I'd paid for. So, they say check-in is from 3pm, and ask you specifically when you plan to check in, and you say 3pm, and they say fine. But then on the day they say that you can only check in from 7pm. They tell you this on Whatsapp, because they're very careful not to leave any trace of the conversation on the booking website (these are professional crooks, remember). This gives you some idea of the utter contempt with which they treat you once they've got your money. They of course ignore any attempt to communicate with them on the booking website. After all, why should they? They've already got your money. So you arrive finally, and find there's no control for the air-conditioning. It's in the middle of a Prague heatwave, and you've just waited hours to check-in already. What's the solution? Well, it's simple, you just go around the other rooms and borrow theirs! Now, can you imagine, if you spent the same amount on a hotel, and your air-con wasn't working, that they would dismissively tell you to randomly knock on the doors of other guests to borrow their control? So, I knock on the door of the only other person I can hear, to be greeted by loud cursing in Czech, to have a very brief conversation with someone who I don't share a language with before having the door slammed on me. Their advice after this? Wait all night until someone else arrives! After waiting until 7pm to check in! They are simply the worst type of crooks and charlatans. "I can't fix it" they tell you. Well, YES, YOU CAN FIX IT, by getting up off your lazy thieving backside, getting your finger out and taking some responsibility for what you are doing. People are paying you to provide a service, and you are not providing it. But hey, don't worry, you've got the sucker's money, you know they're not coming back, so why bother? The room has layers of dust everywhere. We made the mistake of cleaning this ourselves, because when we inform them, they ask for evidence, and because we didn't get a photo, tough luck. Every single step of your "communication" with these people screams out that the whole thing is run by scammers, and you're their latest sucker. So we're sweltering in an excessive heat warning, totally unable to sleep, but that doesn't really matter because you can hear every single word spoken in every other room of this hostel (oops! "apartment"!), so you wouldn't be able to sleep anyway. The next morning we got the hell out of this dump, and for the same price we were paying found a luxurious hotel in the centre of Prague. Please, PLEASE, DO NOT give your money to these fraudsters. PLEASE stay away, I...
