Restaurant is located in the generally calm part of Dejvice, not far from different means of transport. We were there several times and previous experiences were good. We had usually pasta or meet and food was well prepared. You have to be aware, that restaurant is not cheap one. Especially seafood, fish and wine is expensive. We had recently (August 2023) quite bad experience, being served with slightly sour to bit rotten fish, which you would not expect in such a restaurant. It was still edible (with lot of lemon over it), but taste was bad. Since we wanted to have calm lunch, we mentioned that fish is bit strange to the staff, no reaction - so we did not make a fuss. The rest of food (mussels and fried vegetable) was OK. Gelato was average - structure was fine, bit too sweet. This last visit we spent around 200 € for lunch for two (without wine or any alcoholic drinks). I am afraid, that despite previous experiences we are going to avoid the place in the future. Addendum after owners reaction: Both of us present to lunch are fishing and we eat fishes often. We also cook them ourselves. We know how fresh fish tastes and how tastes fish, having its glory already behind. We said to waitress, that everything on the plate was good, but fish. We mentioned it has strange taste. Reaction could have been, that staff checked the food. It did not happen. It shall not happen in the pub with meal for 10€, not mentioning lunch for 200€ where fish alone was almost 160€. This being said, I am not trying to find out, where on the way fish was exposed to warm environment, I do not care. I care for result and I refer about it truthfully. The reaction of the owner is on its own message to a potential visitor and I leave it to everyone...
Read moreFirst, staff. They seem more interested in chit-chatting with their colleagues in the back than serve you. When they decide to serve you, they make it clear you should be grateful for it, what arrogance.
Then the food. Very very average, my carbonara weren't proper carbonara and my partner could not finish her risotto due to the dish being not properly cooked. And the food took ages to come.
My partner asked for a glass of a certain wine, they came with another saying it's sort of the same (or rather because they had to finish an open bottle). Really nice of them...
Finally the bill, they charge the coperto like in Italy...Except we are NOT in Italy... They charged 2 San Pellegrino when one water...
Read moreWe went to the restaurant for a quick lunch, the prices on the menu seemed a bit high to me, while we were thinking of staying or leaving, the waiter brought some Italian bread. We liked the gesture and decided to stay. The food was okay, nice regular carbonara, but when I was paying the bill, I was not expecting to see the breads included in the bill, because we thought it is a complimentary. High prices are ok, in the end the customer decides to stay for it or no, but paying in the end for something you thought is complimentary from the restaurant is cheap...
