Stopped here for Vietnamese coffees as we miss this from being in Vietnam. One hot and one iced Cafe Phin at almost £3 each. Very disappointing all round, made me miss Highlands Coffee. We won't be visiting for dinner because if you can't get coffee right then I'm not risking spending more money on the food.
Update following response: Thank you for your response and it wasn't really the flavour (or even the fact that it wasn't ready prepared as (sometimes) in Highlands Coffee. The main issue was that either the filters were over tightened (or the grounds used were too fine) as even after 10 minutes the coffee had still only halfway got through to the glass and the filter was repeatedly blocked. In Vietnam it typically takes 4-6 minutes to drip through and a hot coffee will still be hot when dripping has finished and an iced coffee will have dripped onto the ice below, partially melting the ice. Your staff didn't tell us anything (although they were polite, friendly and helpful generally) and the ice was only added after my coffee had dripped through after 10+ minutes (and I'd said to the staff that I'd take it as it was as my wife was sitting outside with hers dripping waiting for me). Once we got to drink our drinks they were OK, not great but not bad, but the price seemed excessive, especially for such a poorly produced product. I realise we're not in Vietnam but having hunted down and tried various European based Vietnamese coffees since leaving Vietnam this whole experience was not only the most expensive but also the most...
Read moreThe place was all but empty when we came in but I don't understand why. It's a perfectly nice Asian food joint. The menu is pretty huge. It offers Vietnamese, Thai and Japanese dishes (the last one is mostly sushi). It took a while for our food to arrive even though as I mentioned the place was far from packed, but I guess it's to be expected when you have that many menu items available. Once we got it though there were no complaints. Everything was delicious. We left full and satisfied. The only thing I'd like to caution is the pricing. It's about average for the Thai part of the menu but as far as Vietnamese dishes go it's a bit more than what you typically...
Read moreLocated on Puškinovo square within a walking distance from various public transportation modes (tram and bus lines). Very good selection of freshly prepared tasty daily dishes both in Czech and English. Efficient quick and friendly staff. Ample selection of tables on main floor and in the basement. Great place to have a decent food at a reasonable price. It appears to be a very popular food takeout place during the lunch time.
Basement area is rather noisy if you sit next to a table with more than 2 people who are carrying a loud conversation . Noise level is...
