Terrible place. If you want to humiliate yourself – welcome. This place is not meant for rent. You will be given an abandoned empty room in a student dormitory, probably one that even the poorest students refused to live in. Old paint is falling from the walls onto your head. There is a shared shower for the whole floor, but it’s full of cockroaches that run in from the kitchen, which you will only dare to enter once just to see what it looks like. Men freely enter the women’s shower. Around 50 students live on the same floor, 6 floors in total, 11 buildings. At 2 AM they were still singing, shouting outside the doors, and the noise outside was no better. Complaining would be pointless: the students are just at home, doing what students usually do – drinking, singing, harassing girls. By 8:00 morning it feels like a summer camp, with loudspeakers blasting music in the corridor. I can’t imagine who this accommodation could possibly be suitable for: for the same money you can stay in a normal tourist hostel. Total disrespect for guests – a can of paint costs less than a single booking, yet the walls haven’t been painted since the last century. The place is located on a hill, the funicular was...
Read moreThis is a massive budget hostel at the top of petrin hills just opposite Strahov stadium. The rooms are comfortable for two and has shared bathroom in each floor. There is running hot water throughout the day. For students and budget travelers, its a good place. The reception is open 24X7. But the receptionists were a bit rude. The hostel is well connected with buses. Bus No. 176 connects the hostel with the old city and runs every 20 min. And there is a bus to airport, which runs every 40 min. I don't suggest walking downhill to the city as it is tiresome. But if you are staying for a lengthy period, you can try once. There are no shops nearby. So it is ideal for people who goes out in the morning and comes back to sleep. Prague is a beautiful city with good connectivity. Apart from buses the trams goes through Strahov monastery, which is 15 min walk from the hostel and there are metros to travel between places. Those who prefer taxi can use mobile apps such as Liftago and Uber as they are more economical than...
Read moreWorst place i've ever stayed in! Wouldn't recomend to anyone! 1st of all, it is hard to find because it is actually a student campus with 12 blocks, not a hostel. It doesn't even have a hostel sign outside. 2nd of all, i paid less than 10 euro for 1 night but it wasn't worth it. Maximum it deserves 4-5 euros because the rooms are very small and crowded, also the floor and the furniture were very dirty. The shared bathroom are also in terrible conditions, the shower curtains are old, dirty and stinky. There are old homeless and alcoholic people around there all the time, i didnt feel safe. Also the room door was just simbolic, it barely closed and could easily be opened from outside if pulled hard enough. The so called "hostel" si no where near close to the old town, more like 7km walking or 1h. Will not go there a 2nd time. Also, the pictures found on booking.com weren't even close to...
