Our stay was made quite uncomfortable by the heat in the room at night, both after the warm Friday but also Saturday night where the outside temperature was not more than 15 degrees Celsius. The airconditioning did not work although it made some noises, so we ended up opening the window, which allowed the noise from the street to enter, resulting in a night with a lot of discomfort and without much sleep. On the second night things got worse as a water pipe broke somewhere in the house, letting water run into the entire entry area of our room from 2:00am. Although we informed the staff about this, the leak was not fixed and water continued to run through the ceiling of our room even after we checked out at 11:00am. When requesting a different room at 7:00am we got a friendly response from the employee at the reception desk letting us know this was not possible since the hotel was fully booked. So in order to have a place to be until our home transport was due, we had to spend time in a partially flooded room, choosing between street noise or excessive heat. I have contacted the hotel manager via e-mail about the issue, but have not received any response. The breakfast was nice, but nothing out of the ordinary. Also the staff was generally friendly, although they couldn’t help us with the water leakage.

I would have left a 5 start review if they gave me the room I booked. But it wasn't the case, hence the downgrade. What happened is that I booked an ECONOMY PLUS room, which is bigger and more expensive than the ECONOMY as it has even a corner table. However, the receptionist was telling me that the room 105 is an economy plus and that they just removed the table ! I showed her the photos on their web site, where I made my reservation, but it didn't convince her manager who was telling her on the phone that we got the right room... I didn't want to make a big deal out of it, as my plan was to visit Prague rather than arguing with a not very competent hotel workers, so I gave up, but here I am leaving a bad review... Beside that, the daily cleaning of the room was superficial. They didn't change the bed sheets until the third day even though it was needed. No air co in the room, as everyone reported, but the ventilator running the whole night, allowed us to get some sleep. The room was well soundproof though. I added below the photos of the ECONOMY PLUS and ECONOMY rooms, so everyone can also notice that they are not the same despite the hotel receptionist's claim. Do like me if this also happens to you. Leave a bad review if you get the same "scam'" to force the hotel managers to stop doing that.

The hotel location / checking in / staff||This is one of the better hotels I've stayed at in quite a while. Great location that made it very easy to walk to the city center, but with ample public transit options close by, making it easy to take transit from the airport. The hotel offers an airport taxi for a standard fee, which we took advantage of. There are plenty of restaurants and bars around as well. There's an elevator that kinda bounces sometimes, but otherwise fine. They are actively doing renovations on some of the floors, which tells me they are always working on being the best. I didn't hear any noise or anything, I merely went into the wrong door while going down the stairs. Staff knew English and was very friendly and easy to talk to.||The Room||Our room was on the 3rd floor. It had an a/c unit but it didn't really work well enough, but a standing fan already in the room compensated for this. Beautiful big windows to open and help with the air flow. The curtains were probably black out but the velcro on them didn't line up and we needed to use eye masks. The bed was very comfortable. Usually pillows in hotels suck, but these were perfect! The right amount of fluff and firmness, none of that fluff where you have to fold it over to sleep. They gave us 2 full size pillows and 2 smaller pillows. There are outlets all around the room too. The one on my bf's side didn't work, but plenty of other options. There was a safe, that worked in the wardrobe. Wardrobe had mirrors on the doors too. There was a coffee machine but we didn't use it. There is a mini fridge, however it is stocked with food/drink to buy and didn't allow for us to put our stuff in there. I wish there was more room for that. Oh and the bathrooms and slippers was a great addition to the room.||Bathroom||The bathroom was a good size. The water pressure and shower head were awesome. Water is safe to drink from the tap and tasted good. There was an additional light by the mirror/vanity/sink. The only negative was that the sink is so huge that it takes away the very little counter space available. I would also love if the shower box had shelves of some kind b/c otherwise your toiletries are sitting precariously on the box frame. Toiletries were provided and finally a hotel that gives you a bigger bottle of conditioner! ||Housekeeping||Housekeeping was great! Every day, our room would be freshened up, towels changed out every couple of days and they would clean the floors too. ||Breakfast||The breakfast is really solid. It has a professional coffee machine to make anything you want. There was a pancake machine, meats, cheeses, bread, hot foods like eggs, sausage, bacon, beans, potatoes etc. I wish there was more fruit, but there is a small fruit basket. Also the hours of breakfast is generous (until 11) and as a couple who showed up early and late, I can say that even if you come past 10am, they do replenish right along so you won't be getting scraps. ||And you'll get the best rates booking directly through their site and not a 3rd party. The hotel location / checking in / staff

This is one of the better hotels I've stayed at in quite a while. Great location that made it very easy to walk to the city center, but with ample public transit options close by, making it easy to take transit from the airport. The hotel offers an airport taxi for a standard fee, which we took advantage of. There are plenty of restaurants and bars around as well. I didn't hear any noise or anything, I merely went into the wrong door while going down the stairs. Staff knew English and was very friendly and easy to talk to.

The Room

Our room was on the 3rd floor. It had an a/c unit but it didn't really work well enough, but a standing fan already in the room compensated for this. Beautiful big windows to open and help with the air flow. The curtains were probably black out but the velcro on them didn't line up and we needed to use eye masks. The bed was very comfortable. Housekeeping was great! Every day, our room would be freshened up, towels changed out every couple of days and they would clean the floors too.

While good hotels are similar in their quality, bad ones can fail in numerous ways.

Unfortunately, this hotel falls into the latter category. My initial email inquiry about parking before I booked went unanswered, which should have been an early warning sign. The term "deluxe" seems to have lost its meaning here; the so called "deluxe room" was nothing more than a standard small economy room. The overpriced drinks and lack of even a complimentary water, combined with the non-working AC, contributed to my poor first impression. There was no hot water in the mornings for a shower and the elevator was out of order for a day.

My room had a view of the courtyard, which was not pleasant, and what’s more, every morning during my stay (5 days), a staff member started smoking and coughing in the courtyard between five and six in the morning, creating a most unpleasant wake-up experience. As it was 30 degrees during the daytime and the AC did not work, leaving the window closed was not an option. Other reviewers have written about the broken AC and missing hot water - one year ago. So this does not seem to be issues that will be solved anytime soon.

Housekeeping was loud but not efficient. I usually returned to my room at noon to freshen up, it had never been cleaned. The staff was, at best, unfriendly. As I like to be nice to people, I am not used to being treated this way. One morning is especially memorable; when I left very early at around a quarter to six, the receptionist did not respond to my greeting and instead just stared at me like some demented ghost.

The breakfast was good, although served a bit late. The location of the hotel was good, and it only took 20 minutes to reach...
