Be aware: very loud noise (from the streets)
✅ Pros: Very close to the center & public transportation. I read some reviews that this hotel doesn’t have good access to the public transportation. I figured that: not sure why but whenever I typed a destination out, google map suggested to just walk from the hotel instead of using public transport. However, for me, the hotel’s location was strategic and quite convenient. Within 2-5-minute walk, you can already arrive at I. P. Pavlova station (tram, metro line C), which is only 1 stop from Prague’s main railway station also. Easy access to all attractions. 📍TIP: TYPE THE NAME OF THE STATION ON GOOGLE MAP (kinda ‘force’ it to take this station - and find the name of the station of your arrival and write that name also: the route will show instead of Google Map ‘corecing’ you to walk, especially with luggages).
Clean I also read another review that there was tick in the room. Not sure when that was but I think the hotel improved from that review already. I stayed there for quite some time so if there was tick, I would have got bitten already. The bed and towels are clean. I can smell a good scent from the towels.
Staff are available 24/7 and were quite quick to assist also. I notice that the staff in the morning are usually a bit more enthusiastic and energized (quick to help, greetings,..). Could be because the late night ones are sleepy 😂
Price was okay, affordable!
There are so many food options around. Next to it is a Korean restaurant with pretty high rating also. If you walk a bit to I. P. Pavlova, there are many places open until late like baguette (really good fast food brand but I forget how it’s called, I think Bageterie Boulevard 🤔 - the beef one is SUPER GOOD!!!!! KFC opens 24/7 I think, kebab & pizza: very cheap, about €2-3 per piece for a BIG pizza equals my face size HAHAHAH)
Free luggage drop off: pretty safe since only the staff at the front desk can open and they will escort you to the place to take only your things (since there are other people’s things there also). Make sure to lock if you have anything valuable (normally I recommend not to leave anything pricey or valuable at all to avoid issues).
❌ Cons: Quite a few cons. I guess the biggest con is how old the place is. They have a strategic location and a good/clean room. Just a little bit more maintenance of the facility would give them way higher rating.
NOISE: this is my BIGGEST concern for this hotel. SO SO SO SO SO SO MUCH noise. There was one time when I was tired and needed some rest before heading out. When I came home, even though all doors and windows are locked, room was SURROUNDED by all the loud noise from the neighbors (they blast heavy rock/rap type of music) as well as the busy streets in front. I ended up having headache while already being so sick. This will definitely add onto any negative experience. There’s no noise cancellation for a hotel right on a busy street :(
The room was clean when I first rented it the first night. However, from the second night on, the cleaning looks a bit rushed and gave a feeling of “ohh they’re gonna leave soon..” so they use the same bedding sheets and everything was not cleaned as properly (the bed doesn’t look very nice when I’m back from a long day). There was no refill of soap. Basically looking completely different from the first night. Anyway, I understand they need to cut cost on washing. They will change towels once every two days, just so you’re aware.
Old facility and noise. Noise is also extremely heavy from the old ventilation system. When I brush my teeth, I have to endure the extremely loud noise stemming from the constant fan. Although I’m a pretty easy user and not at the place a lot but whenever I need to use the bathroom, the fan noise causes my headache :(
= Even though the room is quite clean and the staff are also nice, I might not come back because of this extreme noise issue. So uncomfortable, especially when you’re...
Read moreUnfortunately, my stay was marred by a lack of air conditioning and other unpleasant incidents, which have led me to recommend avoiding this establishment.
First and foremost, I would like to address the issue of the air conditioning. It is essential, especially during the summer season, for hotels to maintain a comfortable environment for their guests. However, to my dismay, the hotel in question seemed to turn off the air conditioning during the night. Considering it was one of the hottest summers in Prague in years, this decision struck me as extremely inconvenient and unreasonable.
The constant need to approach the reception desk to request the air conditioning to be turned on was both frustrating and time-consuming. Guests should not be burdened with the responsibility of repeatedly reminding hotel staff of their basic comfort requirements. It is the hotel's duty to ensure a seamless and enjoyable stay for their patrons.
Another issue we encountered during our stay was the presence of ticks in our room. Naturally, this raised serious concerns about cleanliness and hygiene. As soon as we discovered these unwelcome visitors, my travel companions and I immediately notified the hotel staff and requested a room change. However, the fact that such a problem arose in the first place was disconcerting and unacceptable.
Despite our hopes that matters would improve, our experience did not get any better. After enduring three nights of discomfort and inconvenience, we made the difficult decision to check-out prematurely. It is a regrettable outcome when a hotel fails to meet the basic expectations of its guests, prompting them to seek alternative accommodations.
In conclusion, I strongly advise potential travelers to steer clear of this particular hotel in Prague due to its lack of adequate air conditioning, the inconvenience of constantly advocating for comfort, and the presence of ticks in the rooms. I hope that my feedback serves as valuable insight for both future guests and the management of this establishment, prompting them to make the necessary improvements to provide a more enjoyable experience for...
