We were for the first time in Prague and decided to visit this restaurant because of connection with famous Shweik. But were really really disappointed. Basically because of quality and poor choice of food. We ordered 'pecene veprove koleno' (huge piece of baked pork) and some cucumber salad. The pork was actually cooked forehead and just slightly heated before serving. Great that it was served quickly but the taste. Aghhhh. Not felt fresh at all. Concerning salad it was also served in few mins, but was cooked some time ago. Not felt fresh as well. Poor choice of beers, cidres (only one actually), meat, salads and starters. Felt so frustrated about that. The only one plus is a service - attentive and careful personnel. So in a sake of making this place better, totally not advice U to try it. Hope in some time they will make conclusions and change their attitude...

The only negative is when walking into the large restaurant it was completely empty and not a member of staff in sight, I had to wait a little while for someone to appear but I'm glad I stuck around and waited. I would recommend to anyone looking for some nice traditional Czech...

Exceptional Beer The three types of house beers are superb. I'd say this is one of the best beer houses in the Prague.
Delicious Food The food is excellent, even by Prague's high standards. We tried the fried goat cheese and sausages in vinegar, which were both delicious. On a previous visit, the schnitzel was also fantastic.
Great Service The service is both friendly and fast.
Authentic Atmosphere The restaurant has a classic Old Prague feel. It was famously featured in Jaroslav Hašek's brilliant satirical novel, The Good Soldier Švejk, and the walls are decorated with illustrations...
