Los corales beach village. IF YOU WANT AN HONEST REVIEW PLEASE TAKE TIME TO READ.
There is a lot to say and I'm quite known for my reviews and I never want to give negative ones but I have to say in detail los Corales Beach village was a sad experience.
For a start I know someone (owner) will come and say that this is the fake Corales Beach Village but I have explored the whole area and this is the only Corales Beach Village area, and los Corales beaches village is a group of hotels/apartments not at hotel alone or resort alone. Some of The places inside of corals beach village: Corales Colonial Corales Beach Las Terrezas Etc. And any of this places is where you can be put on if you book accommodation on booking from LOS CORALES BEACH VILLAGE But regardless I'm in Los Corales Beach Village so this review goes for all of it.
They all private apartments and not resorts. They have some good places within the block but for my experience and for many other people that shared the block and the area with me at the same time the experience was terrible.
I made a reservation for 12 days stay and I can tell you on my 6th day which is today I'll tell you what haven't recieved. • No internet connection with quality at all, I had to go everytime to reception so I could get some sort of connection (and is crazy because you need internet to comunicate with your family) • No water at random times, like literaly we would be without water either for 15 mins or hours we would never know. • Random power cut on electricity, where we even experienced a whole night without electricity (as we went to sleep and only when we woke up electricity was working) • 6 days and so far and our room hasn't been cleaned even once. That was a moment where I had to get cleaning stuff myself and clean the apartment. • 6 days in to our holiday and we also ask for new towels and they didn't give it to us until we actually complained. • No hair dryer as promised and described • No kettle or microwave as described and promised • Electricity charge which is not described in any website or in their own hotel description through booking (were we made our reservation) our any other place. • NOTE ON ELECTRICITY - prices are out of order... for a couple that stayed only 5 days and with no aircon and TV working they charged $160 which at the reception to me and my wife we were told that electricity wouldn't be more than $20/$30 so with 5 dats remaining I wonder how much they will charge us in the end.
So 6 days into the holiday with a 2 years old child, this is what have experienced so far no standrs at all on health and safety procedures and minimum requirements on holiday accommodations. We believe this so far hasn't been seen or said because there is alwaysa a way to run from trouble like this but I'll.make sure that this matter is flagged out everywhere possible as this is definitely not acceptable.
Who ever will come to say this is not the correct Los Corales Beach Village please look at the pictures I have upload location and the matching pictures with booking website.
Is really sad to have such good propaganda/publicity of something which in reality does not cover even 70% of what was shown in websites and pictures.
I have to say the people around the villa are indeed friendly but at reception there was no much of a help as the answer to every question was always "someone is ..." "we are..." looking into the matter, but problems were never solved.
This is really sad and poor integrity towards your costumers. I'm happy to everyone who had a good experience but I'm not recommending this place to anyone who will be asking...
Read moreStarting with check-in, it was surprisingly straightforward, although it's important to note that the office closes after 8 PM. We were charged $25 for electricity over three days, but unfortunately, we did not receive the breakfast vouchers as promised. The area boasts a tropical appearance but lacks cleanliness overall. The staff did not come across as friendly or welcoming. Our room, likely the most economical option, was situated right next to a construction zone and directly beneath the area advertised as a spa, with hammering noise starting at 7 AM and lasting until almost 9 PM. The room featured a new TV and mattress, but the remaining furnishings were so outdated that they appeared unsanitary. During our three-day stay, there was no room service; trash wasn't removed, nor were towels replaced.
The hotel's proximity to the beach is a plus, yet enjoying the beach was nearly impossible due to constant interruptions from aggressive salespeople, including an inappropriate offer to buy cocaine within minutes of arrival, which is deeply concerning. It's also peculiar that the staff suddenly seem unable to speak English when asked a question, yet become fluent when making sales pitches.
Nearby, Corales Village is close to restaurants and small shops, which is convenient, though these places are extremely overpriced, with prices fluctuating hourly. The restaurant staff seemed annoyed by tourists, bordering on aggressive. Generally, you get what you pay for, but I have experienced superior accommodations in Mexico at this price point. Our checkout process at 9 AM was as unattended as our check-in, and I was relieved to leave after just three days.
Response to Owner :
Based on your consistent poor responses to criticism, it is evident that your property is subpar. It is unprofessional, horrifically overpriced, and not worth the cost. I spoke with another family staying at your property who were initially asked to pay 60,000 pesos for two weeks of electricity. After refusing, they were offered a rate of 20,000 pesos. This demonstrates that your property engages in extremely shady business practices and allows guests to be scammed.
The restaurants were only mentioned in reference to the area where the hotel is located, nothing more,...
Read moreThis review is for Los Corales Villages. The property was completely misrepresented on Expedia, and the service was abysmal.
The so-called "deluxe villa" was dirty and looked absolutely nothing like the pictures. The amenities were completely run-down, and everything was extremely old and worn out. It did not resemble the advertised photos in any way, shape, or form, which was incredibly disappointing.
At check-in, they tried to charge us $120 for electricity, claiming they would refund any unused portion after the stay. Given that two rooms didn’t even have electricity, it’s unclear what this fee was even for. Adding to the frustration, they refused to accept credit cards, saying they couldn’t process refunds via card—a claim I know to be false. This cash-only policy felt like a scam.
We attempted to reach management, but the front desk repeatedly told us they were unavailable. Expedia tried to assist but was also unable to contact the property’s management. It was frustrating and clear that no one was taking responsibility for the issues we faced. Eventually, Expedia moved us to another property, but shockingly, it turned out to be even worse.
Even before all of this, check-in was a disaster. We waited outside for over three hours, being bitten by mosquitoes, because the front desk staff "forgot" about our reservation. This was labeled a "VIP check-in," which was laughable.
We went to eat at their on-site restaurant, and the server claimed they had not been tipped. However, a 28% tip had been automatically added to our bill without our knowledge.
I have visited Punta Cana before and had an amazing time staying at an all-inclusive resort. I highly recommend opting for an all-inclusive if you’re planning a trip to Punta Cana. The experience is far more enjoyable, and you’ll avoid the scams and misrepresentations that plague accommodations like this one.
To anyone considering visiting Punta Cana: save your money. Accommodations like this are rife with dishonesty and poor management. Even reputable sites like Expedia struggled to address these issues. I strongly urge travelers to reconsider and avoid this nightmare. The location and proximity to the beach are the...
