I hate to have to give them such a bad rating because everyone was so nice, hotel was very nice and clean but due to the fact that our situation was handled so poorly I feel I have no choice. We stayed here for 4 nights, Pre and post Galapagos trip. Hotel was clean and nice but our room very loud at night. The staff was very accommodating.||We pre arranged for transfers to and from airport. The gentleman who picked us up was on time and very nice. We paid him $30 each for a ride to and from airport. Plus a tip.||We found out when we got back to hotel that the transfers were supposed to be $30 total each way. The hotel staff was very apologetic and informed us that he was not their regular driver, he was filling in for someone.||They asked for our information and said they would Western Union us our money back that we overpaid. It has been several weeks and we have received nothing. I do not believe they will make good on their word. They should have just given us our money back while...
Read moreVery nice small hotel, rooms were very clean, modern and comfortable beds. Safe and wardrobe in our room too. Rooms were varying in size so check out the others if yours is small. ||Place is very secure and staffed 24 hrs. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and spoke good English. They helped us with all queries and accomodated all our requests. Eg, we had an early start one morning so they boxed up some breakfast for us to take. ||Hotel is in a great location near Plaza Foch, but the downside to this was that the majority of rooms are at the front and very loud at the weekend (even with earplugs in!). On a Saturday I couldnt sleep with the noise but asked if I was able to sleep in another room as I had a really early start and this was not a problem. Room 23 (twin room) is a little smaller but the quiestest room as its away from reception and...
Read moreRecently, we stayed at the Hotel Boutique Marquis. It was an amazing experience. The rooms were lovely, the staff helpful and friendly, the location convenient and close to all amenities. We were part of a group of 10 students and 4 adults on a study abroad program. We spent about half of our nights at the Marquis and by far it was the best! ||||Each morning we received breakfast, even on mornings when we left before the regular breakfast time. The staff was extremely helpful with recommendations and were genuinely concerned for our safety. They arranged for cab rides and suggested restaurants. We hope to return to Quito in the near future and our first choice for lodging will be...
