The hotel picks you up and drops you off to the airport for a very reasonable fee. If this is your first time visiting Galápagos you must know that all flights arrive in a small island in the middle of nowhere. From the airport you need transportation to the pier where the ferry will take you to the main and most populated island of Santa Cruz where you will need additional transportation to cross the wilderness into the town ...all together thats a good 50-60min trip. You will need a dollar for the ferry because that’s not covered by hotels picking you up. The flamingo hotel sends his driver to meet you at the airport. The hotel’s car is at the pier of the main island so the driver rides with you on the airport bus, the first ferry and then you get in the hotel’s car which is waiting at the main island when you get off the ferry. From there there he takes you to the door of the hotel. The hotel is almost new. The rooms have beautiful bathrooms, comfortable beds, cable tv, air conditioner, closet , nightstand and desk table. Their breakfast has options to pick from and is included too. (Cereal, yogurt, fruit salad, toast, cheese, ham, toast, marmalade, butter, juice, scrambled eggs etc.). They have a Jacuzzi too. The hotel is steps from the pier and stores, restaurants, main attractions, etc. The hotel has drinking water on the hallway which is amazing due to the hot weather and they also have tea and coffee. They also offer laundry service for an affordable price so you can drop your clothes in the morning and they will be ready in the afternoon when you return. Super clean hotel. The view is nice from the terrace where you can sunbathe too or use the he...
Read moreThe original hotel we had booked was under construction so we cancelled and ended up at this hotel. The flamingo Hotel is in a nice location. It was perfect to come and go on the town. Close to the main street, restaurants, shops and dock. The hotel was clean and the staff was great. There was not many amenities to the hotel, but basic and clean was fair. Our complaint would be the noise. Every time another guest came or left their unit, you could hear the locks being turned and doors opening and shutting clear as day. Most times we kept looking at our door thinking someone was trying to get in. As well as we were right below the kitchen. If you get a room below the kitchen we highly recommend moving rooms. At 6:30 am they start getting breakfast ready and the blenders are going for quite some time making juice. I also believe that there must be an office behind the kitchen as we heard lots of talking right outside our window. We got the feeling that a family was running the hotel and everyone that we encountered was kind. Other than the noise of the hotel, I can't say much else. The wifi was so hit or miss, but we found it to be so anywhere on the island. I would recommend this hotel for the staff and location. Maybe a little...

The staff were incredibly helpful and professional, going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. Pablo, in particular, was fantastic - explaining everything and making us feel welcome. The breakfast was absolutely outstanding - fresh fruits, yogurt, natural juice, and excellent coffee served daily. Each morning started perfectly with a plate of fresh, delicious fruit.
The rooms are spotless and comfortable, with air conditioning, cable TV, and some even featuring a lovely patio. The hotel’s location is perfect - just a short walk from the center of Puerto Ayora, close to restaurants, mini-markets, and local attractions like the Charles Darwin Research Station.
Bonus features like the hot tub and friendly service made this stay memorable. Highly recommend Hotel Flamingo for anyone visiting the Galapagos Islands!
