While this beach front restaurant does well on atmosphere, it lacks in EVERYTHING else. For the price of these entrees, I expect way more than the terrible experience and service we had. After finally being seated (family of 4), we had to wait another ten minutes for anyone to come give us menus. After we ordered, we waited another 15 minutes for our sodas and water. As we continued to wait, more parties came in and got their drinks and food before us. After 45 minutes, we asked where our meals were, and they threw them together in the two minutes they said. My salmon was undercooked and mashed yucca cold and salty. My husband’s chicken was dry and thrown on the plate without any presentation. Worst was my son’s fillet. It came out raw. After waiting almost an hour, we had to send it back. They finally checked on us when we were done. While the manager did offer dessert or coffee, we did not want to wait any longer for such disappointing food. It was $91 bill after they took a measly $10 off. Do yourself a favor and try literally any other spot on Charles Darwin Ave. They are all way better than this place. Glad it’s not our last night or we’d be...
Read moreWe found all the tables reserved except for a line of tables for walk-ins against the wall. So we made reservations for a following day. We arrived and she tried to seat us against the wall in the far corner near an exit stairway to the dock at a table not set. We asked for a better table, pointing at a nearby 2 top. She said no that’s for 3 people. I said it’s set for two with two chairs and she responds, “fine, it doesn’t matter to me.” And reluctantly gives us the table. I see her chat with other staff as they furtively glance our way. They take orders for two other tables who arrived after us. So, thankfully the food was good. But we sat for quite a while waiting for our check. Why the ‘country club’ attitude? We were dressed nicely and were polite. This was the only unpleasant service we experienced in Santa Cruz. Baffling, really, this manufactured exclusivity. So if you want a good steak while being made to feel ‘less than’ then this is the...
Read moreWe had dinner here one night and just drinks during happy hour on a different evening. We had the seafood risotto and the creamy octopus rice which were delicious. This is a lovely restaurant right on the seafront, excellent for insta photos although we paid more here than anywhere else for food - which is not necessary given how good the food is everywhere. You’d come here more for the setting as it has a higher-end feel compared to other places. We reserved a table on the walkway for happy hour drinks. We thought the cocktails were pretty good given our experiences of cocktails in other parts of the Galápagos. We were given a button to press for service - which was a nice touch. We were served by Jose on both our visits who was extremely polite and professional, providing an excellent service. He even offered to take photos of us which was a...
