3.5 stars-Sign out front says Cocktails and Coffee. Unfortunately, I can’t report on either of those from our lunch visit here. Very near our accommodations so an easy afternoon visit. Not busy at all while we ate. Service was friendly and efficient. Varied menu of local dishes (mainly seafood) and items like sandwiches, burgers, and pastas. Our choices today were a hamburger and a shrimp quesadilla. Also picked a fruit juice combo of strawberry, banana, and blackberry. This tasted mainly of strawberry and really could have used some ice as it wasn’t chilled at all. Not bad though. The hamburger unexpectedly came with a hard fried egg on top, which I’m not sure was listed on the menu. Not unwelcome but better if you know about it ahead of time. The bun was pretty dry but it was, on the whole, still quite tasty. Side of fries was even better. The shrimp quesadilla was interesting. Plenty of melty cheese and the shrimp were fresh and flavorful but there was no sign whatsoever that the tortilla had been grilled or even thrown on a griddle. No crispness at all. So how did they heat it-microwave? Restaurant photos show clearly crisped up tortilla but not on my visit. Disappointing. Small order of the nice fries came with. The side sauces were also disappointing imo. Small portion of what may be their version of guacamole-never got a clear answer on that. Plus, a miniscule portion of an avocado crema like sauce. Quite flavorful but why so small? I would try this place again with hopefully a more positive result when ordering different dishes. Because they do seem to know what they are doing in...
Read moreA couple of friends and teachers of mine went to the Galápagos Islands for an EF tour and got the best experience we could ever ask for. The food was authentic and amazing, by far the best place I’ve been to in years. I had the calamari for an appetizer, chicken quesadilla for a main, and a little dessert to finish. I was able to ask for a virgin strawberry daiquiri and the flavor was amazing, not too sour and not too sweet. I’d like to thank the bartender that made at least 12 of them that night for the rest of my group he did an amazing job he was very sweet. The staff was very welcoming, so kind, and work really hard throughout the day. Thank you for your hospitality I hope to back...
Read moreThis was the worst food I’ve ever encountered in over 100 countries of travel. The quesadilla had over 1 cup of oil on the inside which made the tortilla soggy and the cheese was a processed slice flopped in the middle with some carrots and green beans. I sent the first back (first time I’ve done this) and they produced a slightly less oily just as terrible “quesadilla”. When I asked for something else or to have it removed from the bill, they said they already made me two so they wouldn’t remove it. So paid 20 dollars for something actually inedible. I went next door and had much...
