Not recommended. A place where you feel not comfortable at all. Starting from the staff behavior, this is my first time to get into a restaurant where there is a receptionist by the door with a guy seemed to be a bodyguard before you get in, that makes you not comfortable. Many staff members were wearing formal suits as if it's not just a simple restaurant, its a place where you have to show your wealth in. The place has Soundsystem with a DJ guy which seems as overreacting from the management to hire a DJ for a restaurant and it doesn't make sense for just a restaurant where you go to have food and drinks. So if you are someone enjoying simplicity in everything, definitely you will never feel comfortable there. Food was absolutely overpriced and also was for really small portions and I don't understand why both. If I pay for overpriced food ( i would pay less than 50% for same food in any other fancy restaurant in Zamalek ) so at least i should get good quality , good portion or even at least quick service.
To be honest, I don't understand why people would go there as there are many places nearby that definitely are better then there.
I have read some reviews regarding bad attitude from the staff but that didn't happen with me but the way the staff talks and their behavior with the tourists from Arab countries that you can notice when you stay for a while might remind you of the quote : " expensive clothes for...
Read moreWorst service I've ever experienced in my life. Food is below average, portions are too small. They have no idea of the normal flow of serving the food starting from the dishes, appetizers and salads. They served the protein portions first with no dishes and a missing fork. Then the molokheya with no bread, we asked for the bread for 8 times, we did not get it till today. We ordered Roz ma3mar that we kept asking for it 5 times then after we finished eating they brought us Plain white rice and the manager told us sorry that the roz was burnt. We kept complaining but with no response and they kept showing massive disrespect to us, and when we started to take the conversation to another level and asked for the owner 2 times, they brought us some dessert. The manager kept trying to make fun disrespectfuly and we were talking seriously. We kept for 20 minutes asking the manager to get us the cheque but he insisted that we won't pay anything, and we kept asking to pay with no response and he started to be funny again, we had to leave. Probaly they think that the dessert or the 1500 egp cheque are worth the bad experience. One more thing, we didn't meet the owners cause they probably don't care about their customers or the place. Terrible experience, I think they don't even deserve...
Read moreZAZA beautiful spacious multi level lounge & great cuisine.. messi is the highlight of the young hostesses providing a very smooth & all welcoming service along with a mixed team of young and energetic veterans the best in the market.. that aside the food is all what you would dare for especially the whole oriental line.. mix grill, fattah, stuffed pigeons, feteer, soups, salads, and other main dishes & dessert are all fresh & super tasty.. with the right twist.. the appetisers great but out beaten by the rest.. the cold & hot line of drinks are served catering all tastes.. loved their coffee.. a different experience right in the very middle of super busted zamalek.. we will definitely put it up as a favourite spot. Parking, valet, available elevator to 3rd level.. reservations highly recommended.. I would say a (fine) casual...
