We had 2 stays at this hotel - both for 3 nights each. The workers were all very kind and friendly. I believe hotel is just getting started and they are working hard to get it up and running. Our 2nd stay improved our attitude about the hotel. I know it is similar to other hotels in the area.
Breakfast was the best thing about the hotel. So delicious. Breakfast on hotel rooftop was nice and you have a good view of the pyramids. Great area to eat in and they really take care of you. You can have an Egyptian or English meal. I was able to modify my order to suit my needs. Great waiters and truly a good way to start each day.
Read on to hear about stay 1 and 2.
#1: this hotel was chosen by our tour. We arrived late at night and we were checked in quickly to room 302. Plenty of outlets in room for charging items and the toiletries were fine. Had a blow dryer.
Our first morning, we tried to leave and the door handle to our room broke off. Tried calling reception for an hour before we were finally let out. No apologies given. Had to start our tour immediately, so missed breakfast.
Door handle was fixed upon return but no housekeeping for our whole stay. (that's fine but it would be nice to know that ahead of time.) After 3 nights, our trash can was overfilling. The floor was so filthy of construction dust that we had to wear socks/slippers to keep our feet clean after showering.
There wasn't a TV in the room. Light was missing from the bathroom. No hangers in closet. Friend's bed had boards fall from the base during the night.
Our final night construction went on in hotel while we were trying to sleep. It finally stopped after midnight, but it made it so difficult to get a good night's rest. I think many rooms are still getting ready and are not completed.
2: This time upon check-in we were given an info sheet with numbers and wi-fi password. Had room 405. This room had a TV, but no mini fridge. The shower was updated but didn't drain well at all. Had to wait 1 hr before next person could shower. Much cleaner room than before.
This time my bed's base fell upon arrival. We fixed it. The boards just truly need to be longer underneath mattress. Some light noise during the night with workers again. Still no housekeeping for 3 nights so we ran out of toilet paper and trash can got filled up.
Overall, would stay again as it is affordable, fine location, serves dinner, good breakfast, nice workers, etc. I think they just need to finish construction and get a bit more...
Read moretoo bad!! The service is not good. I going with my group travel and when we arrive at the hotel the staff to slow ( i know it takes time to register) and when everyone done being registered the staff did not give the room key immediately to our member including me, at first i tought he just want to courtesy show the room to me.. but the staff was like didnt trust us at all and just hold the key and make a fuss.. we already have a long flight and tired already but the staff just prolonged the issue and so on.. then they also did not know their own layout of the room.. and 3 times they keep coming into my room knocking even i already mention to him that my room already full for 3 people.. the toilet condition is to bad (the bidet loose, amenities not complete) .. upon check out we facing some issue that one of our trip member missing their personal belonging and out tour guide try to reach them just to clarify if they found it the lost item but they didnt answer it.. until they go back directly to the hotel ask them they lied said they didnt know anything and being fake cannot understand english..(even at that time one of our tour guide can...
Read moreThe hotel is clean and the staff have hearts of gold. The level of English is low which can lead to some confusion. Patience and Google Translate are your friends. They made some mistakes and took longer solving them than I'd have liked. Rest assured that they can be trusted and will not scam you. They are just mega disorganised.
Breakfast was fine and the server Mohammad is one of the hardest working men I've ever met. He did everything he could to make our experience comfortable.
Location for the Pyramids is a good as it gets. For Giza it is really nice, though be warned that it is not somewhere that you can easily walk around without being hassled. Crossing the street is a little tricky sometimes.
If I'd improve on one thing it would be more communication between staff members when changing shifts. You agree something with one person and then the next guy has no idea about...
