Thinking of going to Egypt? Save your money and time and we’ll. Don’t.
This hotel claims to be decent and I did think it was too (hence why I booked 5 nights here)
But here goes…
⚠️ If you like sleeping in hotels then this one is not for you. Broken beds and worn bedding, yes worn. If you love a mattress with no springs it’s alright but generally I do like to have a bed in which I can sleep comfortably on.
⚠️ Free Breakfast? Well it’s not that at all, some bits of dried meat here and there with some fly invested bread. We went once and that was it; after all I didn’t come to Egypt to get a stomach infection. And if you want to use the shops on the hotel, prepare to pay so much you’ll just wish you’d never bothered. £10 for a can of beer; yes £10. Obviously that’s a tourist price, which is how Egyptians treat their tourists with obviously all the respect (or lack of).
⚠️Room cleaning? Well that’s another story. Put it this way, don’t leave belongings in your room if you want to keep them. The cleaners are thieves and they tried to steal my Gucci necklace which they hid behind the trash can. It had been moved and placed there, when we confronted the cleaner she knew what we was on about straight away (me and my husband) and she got the necklace from behind the trash can claiming it had fallen diagonally across the room while cleaning…just once necklace which she in fact did not put back; yeah. Great lie there. The manager also believed her story and to make things even better 2 doors down a lady has her gold pendant stolen on the same day. In which she never got back. Needless to say they stick up for one another and cover each others backs. So yeah isn’t that lovely for a guest.
⚠️Pool view is lovely although if you want to go swimming be aware you may be accompanied by some shit or waste in the pool. Generally speaking the area needs a renovation, or yet the entire hotel.
⚠️ love parties? Well across the way is the regency hall, we’re weddings take place with the guests all outside and not separated from the hotel guests at all, the music goes on and on until about 1am so if you want sleep, then I would probably think again.
⚠️If you STILL want to try Egypt then choose a chain hotel at least, or listen to what people are saying online (I never did and wanted to love Egypt) but I was wrong and it’s the worst place I’ve ever been. You can’t explore because you’re pestered for money or stalked. And if you’re a woman like myself then it’s horrible, if you love to be stared at then go for it, but generally speaking if rude people is your thing…maybe you’ll love it.
As for this hotel ‼️AVOID AVOID AVOID ‼️
They even cancel your bookings on booking.com so you cannot leave a review, I which I am trying to sort out now. Honestly a 4 star hotel? It’s not even 1...

Read moreThe hotel is not bad. Old man from the reception has met us pretty cheerful, and agreed to show different rooms with the pyramids view and with the street view. I saw the ground, the second and the third floors my own eyes - construction finished, the hotel is renewed: clean carpets, painted walls, 100% solid 3 stars, normal Egyptian level. The furniture is clean, the same for bed appliances, sheets and towels - no blood, bedbugs or holes. Bathroom is not sterile, with some foot steps, and shampoo tubes looks like used a couple of times, but this is normal for such level of hotel. Not luxury, not premium, this is normal level. There is an open swimming pool on the roof. The water is cold! We really liked the view from the restaurant on the roof. And it has good menu with affordable prices. What we didn't like is breakfast. We asked on the reception at 9.40, where can we have breakfast? They showed a restaurant on the ground floor. We went there, and waiter said, the breakfast has already finished (at 9.45!) and he brought the poorest quality in my life scrambled eggs with a few pieces of obsolete Egyptian bread and some cheese. We also asked one water 0.5l and two coffees. Then they brought a check out recipe for 500 egp per two adults and one child. They explained that the free breakfast was on the roof near the swimming pool, but nobody informed us, on the contrary, the receptionist directed us to the “Tasty House”. Such a terrible breakfast costs there 120 egp + 60 egp coffee per person. Because of that I put three stars, but initially planned to put four. Be careful at the hotel, ask about the prices in advance. Do not take a room with windows to the internal yard - noisy weddings will...
