We were brought here during our tour of the pyramids and promised that it was good food. That was a false statement. The buffet had different offerings including a pasta station, prepared salads, different main course dishes, soups and a dessert bar, but poor quality for the cost of the meal.
-The salads were ok. Nothing spectacular. -Main courses- chicken was dry and inedible, twice baked potatoes were over cooked (and listed as fish), the pasta station was ok - you had two sauce options and no additions available to put into the pasta so it was pasta and sauce. -Deserts - plenty of options to choose from but most had the same taste. -Drinks- very expensive - 60 Egyptian pounds for a soda!
Atmosphere- horrible - the music - I will try to explain it as best I can - it was one sentence repeated over and over again very loudly.
The chairs are in miserable conditions. They were reconditioned poorly and has nails sticking out of them. Which led to cutting of our pants. The management was not caring about this hazard and they gave us one coffee for free because of the ripped pants. One coffee did not make up for a brand new pair of pants to be destroyed by their chairs.
Cleanliness - bathrooms were ok - safe to use. And the lady at the door made sure that the...
Read moreMy tour guide brought me here and she also ate here together with our driver. She recommended the place because she eats here regularly when off work. The staff speak English and were attentive. The food tasted freshly made from scratch unlike other national chain buffets where I have eaten in America. For me, there were lots of choices for pastas, breads, meats and desserts. Since all the drinks were 70 Egyptian pounds each, I chose the freshly made mango juice instead of the soda or tea. The fresh juices here are made fresh (my mango juice had lots of pulp and had a thick consistency) when you order them and are not the diluted, water version one buys back home in America. For me, such juice quality was worth every pound. I am an optimist in that you always have the freedom to buy a 1.5 liter water bottle later for 10 Egyptian pounds at a convenience store if you don't want to pay for their drink or juice prices. The optional alcohol-free beer was more expensive at 80 Egyptian pounds but then again this is a Muslim country and nobody flies to Egypt to drink beer. My stomach digested the local cuisine without problems. I am going back...
Read moreThe employes were not very nice. Most of then were standing still doing nothing. We order 3 pastas and it took almost an hour to get served. After 40 minutes we asked when our order was ready, but the employe was very rude and said 5 more minutes. Then it passed more 10 minutes and nothing. We looked around and most emplyoes were laughing and we didn't understand what was hapenning. We were ready to leave when an employee named Belal (not sure if its written this way) showed up and was very nice. This employe avoided a disaster dinner and made the dinner enjoyable. We would like to thank Belal and we would like to tell his boss that this man deserves a raise on his salary and that most of the other employes need to be more proactive. In the end of the day the food was good. Dispite all of this we would recommend this restaurant. Thanks you for your...
