I’ve got mixed feelings about my stay at Jaz Elite Casa Del Mar, and I think it’s only fair to highlight both the positives and the areas that left us disappointed during our trip. Starting with the good – the accommodation itself was genuinely impressive. The rooms and shared spaces were spotless throughout the entire stay, with staff consistently cleaning and maintaining a high standard of hygiene. That alone gave us a sense of comfort and ease. The food was decent – there was a variety, and the à la carte restaurants were a nice touch (we tried two or three). The food quality there was noticeably better and something to look forward to during the evenings. The dining staff were genuinely lovely – always welcoming, polite, and hardworking. But what really stood out – and I cannot praise them enough – was the entertainment team, especially Ella and Sarina. These two were the soul of the resort. Not only do they run activities, they take time to chat with guests, make sure everyone feels included, and bring such high positive energy that it becomes infectious. Their effort, long hours, and still being so upbeat every day was beyond impressive. You girls were the absolute highlight of our trip – thank you so much for making our stay memorable! A huge thank you also to Hassan and Housam at the Aqua Restaurant near the infinity pool. Both were so polite, attentive, and consistently went above and beyond. Also, Ahmed Mahmoud at the splash pool bar was an absolute gentleman – polite, kind, and gave wonderful service every time. Nima at the spa deserves a warm mention too – her gentle energy and thoughtful care made a huge difference. She checked on me constantly and even massaged my feet – magic hands! Unfortunately, not everything was smooth. A major downside was our experience with a male staff member named Islam at the splash pool bar. His attitude was rude, aggressive, and completely at odds with what you’d expect from a hospitality professional. When we politely asked for a non-alcoholic drink, he seemed irritated, slammed the cup down, made faces, and the drink was undrinkable. His body language was cold and intimidating, particularly as two women simply trying to enjoy our holiday. We ended up avoiding that bar entirely during the day unless we knew Ahmed was there. We also had a frustrating issue with reception. We pre-booked a water sports activity and were told we could request free packed lunches the day before – part of our all-inclusive package. However, when we went to collect them, the receptionist (Haify, we believe) was unhelpful and unprepared. She kept asking for paperwork we were never given at check-in and made us feel like we were in the wrong. It left us standing there confused and uncomfortable, wasting valuable time. That kind of disorganisation should be avoidable. Another thing we couldn’t ignore was the general atmosphere from a few male staff members in passing interactions. Despite us smiling or trying to greet them, they often ignored us or gave off an intimidating energy. It’s hard to explain, but energy speaks volumes – and some of theirs made us feel uneasy. Again, this sharply contrasted with the lovely vibes from the entertainment team and restaurant staff. Lastly, our room placement was far from all the main facilities, which made getting around a chore. And despite booking for two people and requesting double beds, we were given two rooms with two single beds each. It may seem small, but sleeping in a single bed when you’re not used to it really affects rest and comfort. Other cons: Bad Wifi at resort. In summary: Jaz Elite Casa Del Mar has a lot of promise. Clean facilities, a few truly exceptional staff members, and great entertainment. But a few negative staff encounters and some logistical issues made it hard to fully relax. I’d be cautious about recommending it to solo female travelers, as some staff interactions felt unwelcoming and unsettling. Would we return? Sadly, a no from us. We don’t skimp on holidays and this price doesn’t reflect the quality.

Our room was situated to the hotel side; we did not notice any noises from outside and blackout curtains did their job just great. There is a safe in every room, size around A4 paper format. As for bathroom – you can find there a hairdryer (did not try, as I always take my own), some people mention that the cord is rather short and the hairdryer is not so powerful as it could be. There is also shower gel, shampoo conditioner 2in1, hand soap, body lotion, some shower caps and paper tissues as well. The fridge is refilled together with cleaning service, you can find soft drinks and juices there (are not charge with ultra all inclusive), there is also free bottled JAZ water in glass – it is completely safe to drink as it is filtered – we have no problems after drinking it for a week. We also asked the service to give us more bottles and it was not a problem. There are also some charged items – beers, non-alcoholic beers etc- the price list is included together with some snacks charged (Oreo, chips etc). You can find a kettle in every room, tea and coffee are free. If you want there is also paid in room service, you can download the menu with price by QR code placed in your room. Room service daily if you wish for, cleaning, bathroom towel change, minibar refill, there is no room for complaint - all was clean and perfect. As for the beach towels, you are given one for each person. The change system is wonderful– if you wish to change the beach towels all you need is to do is just hang used towels in the hotel bag (you were given it) outside the room on the doorknob and you will find them changed later hanging on the same place. As for the animator staff- they were doing their jobs very well trying to involve guests into various activities but it was done with no pressure and with friendly approach which I appreciate. You can try darts, aqua gym, pétanque as far as I noticed, there is also a table tennis on the beach next to the beach bar. Sending hello to wonderful Ella by the way, you were nothing but great my dear 😊. There was also some evening entertainment, changing its place through the hotel. Pool party, nice set with drawing into sand-projection, violin performance 😊, singers, there was also kids’ mini disco (daily I guess). As for food, it was really delicious, maybe not so huge offer compared to other hotels I had visited but on the other hand you can always choose according to your tastes and that is what matters. Chicken, fish, beef… Desserts and pastry were great and I miss them. Greeting to our waiter Mostafa and Mohamed Ahmed, and to the breakfast egg master Fadi. The main restaurant is nice, never got overcrowded with people, the staff did their job great, always attentive to your needs, tried to chat a little with you, remember your name and tried to speak your language a bit too 😊. You can either sit inside with AC on or outside where fans are placed above your heads. You can visit 3 different A la carte restaurants during your stay, with our ultra all in it was every restaurant once per your visit. The beach is sandy and well taken care of, no garbage or litter left on it. Sea is clean with slow lowering, good for small kiddos. Actually, it as a small bay, but you do not notice rising or low tide. We did not snorkel but I think there is not much to see in the bay itself but you can use any of the local service to go for a better place for snorkelling; there is a guy offering the trips on the hotel beach too. Lifeguard is present there and other staff who help you to find a spare sunbed and settle your towels, clean your sunglasses and adjust the windbreaks according to your liking. The beach never got overcrowded, enough sunbeds for all even if you came late as us did sometimes 😊. Thank you very much for a prefect service to Osama and Mahmoud Mohamed :-) Wi-Fi connection is free of charge and it is working great in hotel area and beach as well, just had minor connectivity issues because of the wind from time to time on the beach.

This hotel is a Very good place to spend your holiday, is so peaceful and less noisy then all the hotel i have been to in egypt , the food is very delicious, all the staff are really nice, the entertainment team are good

EDIT:

The above review was written by a member of the animation team. They were advised we would write a review when we got home ourselves, but were very pushy and pursisted on writting the review themselves on my phone and taking screenshots once posted. Then also done the same with my partners phone so he will be editing his review also. Please note this was only one member of the animation team and does not reflect the whole animation team - all the other animation members were great - shout out to Tiger!! :)

Although most of the above is actually true and we did have a lovely time, there were somethings we wanted to feed back on.

The bedroom balcony door does not lock. As we were on the ground floor in an area of alot of footfall to the pool, we were worried that anyone could just slide open the door and walk into our room?

One night at 12 midnight whilst we got ready for our tour pickup to Cairo, someone tried to enter our room using a key card. We had the latch on as we were inside the room but the concern here is that if we werent, why was someone trying to enter our room? To add to that, we also ate two packets of crisps from the bedroom mini bar and owed the hotel 4 euro on check out. When we went to check out the hotel already knew, my concern is that i had the do not disturb sign on the door from when we ate them that morning until we went to check out at 6pm? Not a major issue, but adds to the concern that staff were entering our room when they were not supposed to??

The entertainment around the splash pool every night at 21:30pm is good however, there isnt enough seats so get there around 20:30 latest if you want to watch the show.

There isnt enough information around the hotel to tell guests what is on every night... only seen one board beside the infinity pool during the whole week of being there. Be good to have an information board in the lobby area or even the main restaurant entrance.

Overall we had a lovely time. The hotel is a mix of quiet and busy, depending on what pool area you choose to go to. The above review written by the animation team is a lie as they mention that the hotel was less noisy that any other hotels in egypt, yet this was my first time in egypt so i cannot comment on any other hotels and noise levels. The food was always lovely and we tried the italian restaurant and it was such a nice night. The only thing we would have loved is a little shop with snacks like chocolate/crisps to have between meal times etc.

The entertainment around the splash pool is usually different dance shows and we enjoyed them but we particularly enjoyed the flute player and spanish singer as it was more of a chilled vibe. We also loved the pool party so we recommend to go to this!! We didnt make it to the beach party and this is only on wednesdays and we flew to hurgada wed-wed.

The staff around all of the all bar areas and restaurants were fantastic!! Thanks so much to the staff for looking after us...
