Terrible food for the price. Go into town and eat twice as nice food for half the price. We have been there few days ago and my Muslim wife was served alcohol ( clearly wearing hijab). Owner still arguing to this day that is what we ordered but be a proper owner and admit your mistakes. If you are in the business for 30 years you should know better than lie about the incident that you have alleged seen but you couldn’t as you were seating in the table behind us so how could you have seen it? I have noticed this generally in Egypt that people have big issue with saying sorry like it is personal. It is not, just stating the facts and if you can’t remember you can always review your cctv to refresh your memory. Both ways hope you learn from it ( although I doubt it). We wont be coming back obviously as most of the people coming to your place as it is next to all the hotels as people just visits while there. Maybe that is why the service and food is poor as you don’t have to care about customers returning? Maybe. Anyway you can respond and blame us all you want but Allāh swt knows the truth and you know it too. Have a good day. You make me laugh with your reply. Keep telling yourself what you wrote but we both know what is truth and what isn’t. Check your cctv and you will see what my wife ordered. Your keep saying the same think over and over again. You were seating behind us and my wife’s back was to you so how could you have seen what she is ordering unless you have special abilities to see through people? I have seen you as you walked out after incident to ask the waiter what has happened. If were to charge us for the second drink? The waiter never apologised just said in Arabic it is ok but it is Not ok to service Muslim person alcohol and you living in predominately Muslim country should know this. Thank God my wife didn’t know this while trying it so at least she didn’t commit any sin unlike you. Good luck to you. By the way did you read all the other bad comments? There must be a reason why they...
Read moreHaving been to Hurghada more than 15 times over the past 13-14 years, I've always went for Moby Dick on Sharaton Street- where I've always give 5 starts for both food and service (best camel steak in town!) I've wanted to finally go and try the resturant in the international area a try!
Was given a menu with approx double prices and the addition of 14% VAT not included as it elsewise is at Moby Dick in town. I said I've did not want to pay double + VAT and if they could give me the "right" menu we would stay. They assured me that this was the one and only menucard for both resturants- obviously I knew that was a lie as I've just eaten on the other one literally 2 days ealier.
I told them it's a lie - however they stand their grounds and kept saying I was not correct. I've told them it's unacceptable and booked an Uber went directly to the "old" resturant on Sharaton Street, where I've also took a picture of the menu same night, showing approx half the prices of this resturant - even though its the exact same.
If you have to go, then take the one in town, where both prices and service are miles ahead. A shame to be treated as such for a loyal costumer over the past...
Read moreEach time we go to Hurghada we make sure we go to Moby Dicks quite a few times. The food is absolutely first class with a fine dining experience. The staff go above and beyond. Choices of speciality dishes such as camel steak or camel meatballs. A must try while in Egypt. Each time we have gotten the beef tenderloin steak. Always cooked to perfection if you like to have a great steak while out of the hotels . Drinks are fantastic as is the wine. Roughly a two course meal with drinks will cost average around £35 per couple that’s steaks etc and cocktails included . So for value for money they don’t reduce the quality of the food to sustain the fantastic pricing. The owner is called sherif and all I can say he is an absolute pleasure of a host. Will always return when I come back to Egypt. Lots of love from...
