Elite Residence Dahab — Hotel in South Sinai

I booked this villa through Booking.com with their free cancellation policy. Their reservation manager, Ahmed, contacted me for a partial refund, but I paid the full amount because I trust Booking.com. He asked if I could book directly through them. I agreed, but I specifically asked if I would receive the same benefits I get from Booking.com, and they confirmed it. He then sent me a cancellation request from the website, and I trusted him and did so. It was a foolish move on my part to agree to cancel my reservation through the website.||Unfortunately, a death occurred in my family, something completely beyond my control. I contacted the hotel management to cancel my reservation due to these circumstances. Despite their initial promises, they did not honor our agreement and instead deducted half the amount. I then received the number of the person I had agreed with, the hotel manager, Mr. Adnan. He told me he would contact them and that the amount would be refunded within two days. I called Mr. Ahmed again to find out when the refund would be due. He informed me that they would deduct the cost of two nights from the refund amount. This was not our initial agreement.||Do they have the right to deduct this amount without prior agreement between us? I have yet to receive my reservation fee.|I urge anyone considering booking this villa to exercise caution and ensure that all terms and conditions are clearly and in writing, as what is advertised on booking platforms does not always reflect reality. Absolutely fantastic stay at Elite Residence in Dahab on Lighthouse Road! From the moment I was picked up at the airport, I knew I was in for a treat. The accommodation itself is top-notch—clean, modern, and up to European standards. Having access to a kitchen and a washing machine made life so much easier, and the rooftop area with a chill-out space and a whirlpool was the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring.

The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay, ensuring that I had everything I needed to make the most of my time in Dahab. While I did experience some minor issues with the internet connection, this seems to be a common occurrence in the area and didn't detract from my overall enjoyment of the stay.

The location is also excellent, just a 10-minute walk from the beach, allowing for easy access to the beautiful coastline and vibrant atmosphere of Dahab. I found this place through booking.com, and we rented an apartment in Elite residence. For my specific reservation, we saw the specific pictures of an apartment,the original building with the jacuzzi, and we read the apartment specifications, so I did our reservation .I got an email: "You booked an apartment ,check-in at 12" . When we came to the place at 12.30, they said check-in is at 2 pm, we wait until 2.15pm without a problem. Careful! they sent us to a different location, and they assigned us a room no an apartment. We had to accept it because, at this point, we were tired. The room and building were good and clean, with some facilities, but we paid for an apartment, and we wanted to enjoy the jacuzzi in the rooftop and all the facilities they showed us in the pictures.
