This is the best accommodation I've stayed at for quite some time! Staying in Tallinn for two nights, I picked this accommodation primarily for its location, within walking distance of Tallinn's centre and its ferry terminal. I also needed a small kitchen so I could make my own meals. I found the self-check in process very easy and when I gained access to the apartment I was greeted by a well-designed space with seemingly brand-new equipment throughout. Everything worked perfectly, but what really caught my eye were the thoughtful, human touches everywhere:
There was a hand-written, personalised welcome note on the table, nestled between two mugs, tea bags and two small chocolates;
There was a plug adaptor for those with electrical equipment from outside the EU - this was really handy as I only had one such adaptor with me;
There was a yoga mat in its own bag! Clearly they've put a lot of thought into who might be using these apartments and what their day to day needs might be;
Above the desk was loads of useful information about Tallinn, as well as it being made clear that Bob W only uses 100% renewable electricity - important to me, but also many other guests staying here I suspect;
There was a bean-to-cup Delonghi coffee machine generously stocked with coffee beans!! Given how stingy many accommodation providers can be with what tend to be coffee capsules, this was great to see, as was of course the machine's ability to grind different beans and heat and froth milk;
In addition to all the brand-new kitchen equipment were the less glamourous kitchen essentials that make all the difference between being able to use the cookware, but are sometimes forgotten by accommodation providers - a small bottle of cooking oil, salt and pepper. This enabled me to make my own meals, while the dishwasher did the washing up;
It was stunned to see that free gym access was included - I would have made use of this if I was staying for longer. The central laundry room seemed well equipped too but I had no need to use it.
The cherry on the cake was the superb customer support provided through WhatsApp: friendly, proactive, helpful and all in perfect English.
I'm already considering a return to Tallinn and if/when I do, Bob W will be the place I'll look to stay in. Highly...
Read moreWe had an amazing stay at Bob W Hotel in Tallinn! The location was absolutely perfect—just a short 3-5 minute walk to multiple bus stops, neighborhoods, restaurants, grocery stores, and museums, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city. The hotel was clean, and the small, thoughtful touches made our stay even more enjoyable.
The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. Instead of worrying about keys or keycards, we were simply given a code to enter at the main entrance and then again at our room. It was so convenient—just keeping the code handy was all we needed!
One of the highlights was the 24/7 WhatsApp chat—and the best part? It wasn’t automated! A real person was always there to answer our questions and make sure we had everything we needed. The staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. We had the pleasure of meeting Diana at the front desk, who gave us local recommendations, whether we had dietary restrictions or wanted to dive into the local food scene. Her extra tips and friendly conversation really stood out!
We also loved the Instax polaroid camera available for guests—it was such a cool touch! While we had to go out and buy our own film, we had so much fun capturing memories with it. Other small but thoughtful details, like the postcards, tote bag, and personalized welcome message, made the place feel warm and inviting. Having access to streaming apps was also a great plus for unwinding after a long day. The bed was super comfortable, and the overall vibe of the hotel was just right.
We’ve already been recommending Bob W to our friends and would 100% stay here again!
If there’s anything that could be improved, it would be:
Providing extra body/face towels and a floor bath mat, as the ones provided got quite wet (although we’re sure they would have given us more if we had asked!).
A larger pan for cooking in the kitchen.
Possibly adding an elevator for accessibility (or if there was one, we didn’t see it!).
Overall, an amazing experience—highly recommend for anyone...
Read moreDon’t book it at their website. We made a mistake and booked it through their webpage while the room was 90 euros cheaper on hotels.com. You can get a much better room for the cost at Tallin. Our kitchen was not usable as all cookware was very scratched, no pancakes for breakfast then. Not enough electrical outlets for charging phones and we ended up taking the bedside lights extension cord for our phone. While Bob system send us many messages automatically and two different ones promising to provide us with cooking ware, nobody actually did anything about it. The location is ok, but there are plenty of other hotels with even better location. The stairs to third floor would have been ok for cheaper price but this is just not worth it. No AC. Won’t be staying here again and as this was my first experience with Bob W, have to consider other Bob...
