Update 20.11.2023: The outside pool is closed. You can no longer swim outdoors. Monday was a quiet day. I spend 20 minutes alone in Turkish sauna, lovely peace and quiet. Went to steam sauna and stayed over 30 minutes. Just two other people dropped by for a while, otherwise peace and calm with lovely scent. Finnish sauna in shared space was way too hot, 94 degrees celcius! It was impossible to stay more than 5 minutes. Feet and bottom 'burn' because everything has heated up. On the mens side The 80-85 degrees was better, again just one other person came in, so lovely time to myself. Massaging outlets are good for some water pressure massage. Although, i have no clue why they cut off, and how to get them turned back on. There are alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available to purchase with the bracelet. You settle the bill as you check out. The lockers are also operated with the bracelet (use on top of the locking mechanism and push). I stayed from 14.05 until 16.15. If you appreciate a relaxing atmosphere in a spa and want to relax, monday may be the best pick. Entrance for 3 hours for Club One members is 17€. If the price was any higher i would rather go to Flamingo Spa, Vantaa, Finland. Overall a 4/5. - - - earlier review - - - Sorry, i have no idea of The rooms, so that's why 3/5 for the rooms. At the reception i told the lady that i want to take pictures for a review of this spa. As there are regulations within you have to agree. I agreed to take photos with no other people or Ask for their consent. So i have done that. It is a pretty plain dressing room. There are clean toilets. You go through mens side and enter the public space. It is beautiful. You can go outside under a tunnel. Most saunas are really mild hamam/turkish at 40-45C but Finnish sauna was at 90C celsius, too hot. Generally i can recommend this place. It is beautiful and harmonious. Overall a 5/5.

I stayed here in June of 2024. We will start with all the good. The hotel was very clean and in an excellent location. Whoever said Estonians weren’t friendly didn’t meet the staff here. The customer service was top notch, coming from the US, where customer service is highly regarded. The hotel staff was always willing to help and even helped me find parking offsite even though she didn’t have to. You can definitely tell the staff care highly about the satisfaction of their guests and it shows. The pool was also well kept and the saunas were very clean. The location was also excellent. It was only about a ten minute walk to Old Town and only steps away from the harbor. Those looking to ferry to Helsinki would be in an excellent location. There was also lots of food options near by within a twenty minute walk. The only bad I found is that extra pillows do cost extra and the bed was a little hard. But that said, for all the benefits this hotel offers, it’s a very small price to pay. All in all, when I stay in Estonia again, I’ll definitely be looking into this hotel. The location is excellent and the staff are top notch. Anyone looking to stay near old town should definitely check this one out. The prices are relatively low for the location.

I was only guest of the hotel and i did not use the Spa/Swimming pool: The room was really good. Great bed, good view and a nice bathroom with a great shower. Unfortunately, in the afternoon, evening, late evening and early in the morning people and kids were running through the hallways everytime. Walls and doors are not strong enough to compensate these noises. Every step from outside can be heard well from your bed. So imagine what happens when kids are running all the time. I was not able to get enough sleep here. When i read the other reviews it seems that people/kids are running so very often. Is it a race track? Breakfast was really bad. So crowded. Bread/rolls were very old, the juice was full of water. Pencackes do not deserve that name. Staff was friendly every time i needed them (only at checkout).

Great Location & Fantastic Spa – But Bring Your Own Bathrobe/Towels!

We stayed here for a bowling European Championship trip with my fiancée’s bowling group (around 20 people), and overall, we really enjoyed our stay. This hotel is perfectly located for the average Finnish cruise liner traveler, and it definitely gave off similar vibes, right down to the ugly-yet-nostalgic cruise ship -style carpets in the hotel rooms.

⭐ Biggest Plus: The Spa! The spa was absolutely the highlight of our stay – we loved it! However, -1 star because the bathrobes and towels were seemingly designed for hobbits or children. If you’re over 170 cm or the tiniest bit overweight be prepared for an unintentional mini-skirt bathrobe experience. They can, however, be effectively used as capes. Or a turban. 😆

👍 Pros: ✔ Location - Ideal for travelers used to cruise liner routines. ✔ Rooms were quite nice - nothing extraordinary, but very comfortable for the price. ✔ Authentic cruise ship-style carpets - ugly, but strangely fitting!

👎 Cons: ❌ Lobby floors got dangerously slippery from the melting snow outside, which made heading to the spa in slippers feel like an extreme sport. ❌ The hotel restaurant closed a bit early (for us), but Wolt came to the rescue! In fact, we weren’t the only ones - there were more Wolt couriers coming and going than actual customers in the evening!

I have to apologize, but also admit it was hilarious, for our drinking habits on 15.02.2025. Instead of heading to a bar, we decided to stay in the lobby and try as many cocktails as possible with my fiancée. The bartender handled our enthusiasm like a pro, playfully sighing and rolling his eyes, making it all the more entertaining even as his patience began to wear thin.

At some point, he declared, “No more Devil’s Mango!”, which I took as a polite and very funny hint to stop ordering strong cocktails one after another. His way of expressing his exhaustion was truly entertaining, and we commend him for his patience. Everything we ordered was served, and when ingredients mysteriously “ran out,” we knew it was time to call it a night, after one last whisky sour, of course. 😆

Final Verdict: Would we stay here again? Absolutely! But next time, we’ll bring our own bathrobes, trail shoes for the lobby, and maybe - just maybe - pace ourselves at the lobby bar a...

Travelling as a couple, did not stay here, instead just came for the spa, and found it severely lacking. If you're a guest and spa entrance is included with your room, and you're just looking to have a couple of drinks with friends at the pool bar, I imagine you might have a reasonably good time. Otherwise, read on and consider going somewhere else.

First, many of the facilities are simply out of order: the hammam, advertised as the specialty of the property, seemed to not be functioning at all. It was no warmer than the hallway, and the stone benches, which we expected to be heated, were cold.

The "45 degree" steam bath dripped boiling water on you as you walked in, and a hole in the ceiling constantly blew superheated steam into the room.

One of the massage showers was adorned with an out-of-order sign. The other one lacked the sign, but did not work any better.

Sadly, most of the facilities that weren't outright broken did not deliver as promised, either. The Finnish saunas, both in the sauna world and in the dressing room, failed to give a proper "löyly", as for some mysterious reason, the stones had been removed from the stoves, with only a handful left on a tray above them.

The pools were coldish, with only the smaller jacuzzi a bit warmer. It did not, however, deliver any bubbles while we waited for 15 minutes.

On the plus side, the lie-down Turkish steam bath was pleasant enough.

One interesting detail is that the reception will happily rent you bathrobes for 3 euros each, but there are no hooks anywhere to hang them while you have sauna or take a dip so you'll be forced to just leave them in your lockers.

The overall condition of the spa is not what you'd expect from a property supposedly renovated recently: signs of wear everywhere, faint smell of sewage in the sauna world, and plenty of flickering lights. We're glad we hadn't booked a massage, as the downstairs treatment area looked downright menacing.

This would certainly be a one-star review if it weren't for Kerli (hope I got the name right) at the spa reception, who handled our feedback with the utmost grace, friendliness and...

The hotel was comfortable, generally very clean and presentable. The staff was friendly and patient, even during rush hour. The hotel's restaurants were really cozy and the food tasty and affordable. The breakfast service was also really comprehensive and tasty, even if it was a bit cramped.

the spa section was really attractive and comprehensive, there was a bar next to the bigger jacuzzi, which of course was full. The spa was really full of other hotel residents and was a bit cramped. The changing rooms had lockable cabinets, clean showers and toilets. The best part of the spa was the versatile saunas, which were big and really clean. There were several sauna options and they were really well implemented. I had the best time in the saunas.

However, the hotel is plagued by the ongoing construction sites around it, whose temporary traffic signals and light traffic arrangements were absolutely catastrophic. Walking to the hotel from the center was difficult, but after a few times I learned the routes where the sidewalk did not end in front of the pit.

Of course, when the hotel is connected to Tallink cruises and is affordable, there are also many cruise passengers in the hotel, so the cruise feeling continues in the hotel as well. Empty alcohol cans in the corridors, loud music from the rooms, drunk people everywhere, both in the spa department and in the restaurant. I considered this to be the biggest disadvantage.

The rooms were for the most part clean, but the new sheets were carelessly in place, the coatings in the bathroom were very old and shabby and a little dirt was found here and there, the trash can was not emptied and the drinking glass was dirty.

However, I experienced a great spa weekend, even though there were flaws and some of the people living with me in the hotel were just drinking and continuing to cruise and a mixed construction site around, I can say that I would still consider going to that hotel again, next time with lower...
